AllyjamboDerbyshire
Regardless of the more obvious blocks on fit and proper, how could anyone who has organised a very successful boycott of a club, costing, perhaps, millions of pounds to that club, in an effort to become a director of that club, be considered fit and proper to be involved with any club? How could anyone who has told untruths regarding having a NOMAD 'lined up' in order to usurp the board of a football club be considered as 'fit and proper'? How could anyone who has made promises to input varying levels of tens of millions of pounds to a club, and then, with that club teetering on the verge of insolvency, fail to invest even one pound be considered as 'fit and proper'? All King's actions involving TRFC for the past year, at least, have been of a most improper nature, hurting the club he professes to love. What the SFA must ask themselves is, if he can do this to the club he loves, what might he be capable of doing to any club, or clubs, that get in his, or TRFC's, way should he be allowed to get involved in Scottish football? wentworth jambo
Don't know if anyone's seen this but it appears Ashley still retains a level of control despite the "good guys" winning (taken from P&B site) : Sports Direct force Rangers to 'launch' new kit early The Rangers & Sports Direct saga took another twist today when Mike Ashley?s company forced Rangers to ?launch? their 2015/2016 kit significantly earlier than the Club would normally do so. The Newcastle United tycoon and major Rangers shareholder?s website this morning put out next season?s Puma kit as a pre-order, forcing Rangers to similarly launch it on the Club?s official Twitter account, but it can only be pre-ordered through Sports Direct?s own site, rather than the Rangers Megastore. The latter has been well and truly ?trumped? by this sneaky move, with links on the official site pertaining to the new kit, but only linking to the current season's gear. Sports Direct have caught Rangers cold. The only place to pre-order, ridiculously, is Ashley?s outlet. Interim chairman Paul Murray has been on record as saying Rangers are happy to work with Ashley, but this move is yet another twist which suggests a partnership between the two bodies is astoundingly remote, not including the fact Ashley refuses to meet with the board on any level. Angus Young
The English do not muck around when presented with Tax Dodgers. Leeds United: Six players withdraw from squad for Charlton game Leeds United manager Neil Redfearn's plans for Saturday's Championship match at Charlton Athletic have been hit by the sudden withdrawal of six players. Mirco Antenucci, Giuseppe Bellusci, Dario Del Fabro, Marco Silvestri, Souleymane Doukara and Edgar Cani all told Redfearn they were injured. Five of the six were signed by banned club president Massimo Cellino. According to Press Association Sport, Redfearn and United's physio were not aware of any injuries. Redfearn's position at Elland Road has appeared under threat over recent weeks. His assistant Steve Thompson lost his job without warning on 2 April. And Redfearn's own deal, which expires at the end of the season, looks increasingly unlikely to be renewed under the club's current regime. Cellino has been banned from holding any influence over the club since the end of January - following a conviction in Italy for not paying tax on a yacht - but he is set to return in a fortnight's time. Forwards Antenucci and Doukara, defenders Bellusci and del Fabro and goalkeeper Silvestri were signed by Cellino. Forward Cani's deal was set up by the Italian before he was banned by the Football League for failing its owners and directors test. Leeds, 15th in the table and safe from relegation, were not available for comment.
