Real Madrid V Barcelona

Not surprised to see Ozil off ... He's never really impressed vs Barca when started ... Always seems a bit lost.

Feel a bit sorry for him tbh. Think he's playing out of position.

Most effective playing off a proper central striker either dropping into space or running in behind. Ronaldo was drifting wideleaving Ozil in there on his own. Not that sort of player.

RED!

Pepe off.

Maybe a bit harsh but he shouldn't be going in for tackles at that height. The love-in for Real Madrid and Mourinho on ITV is almost vomit-inducing.

Bad challenge. Studs showing but I think he actually nicks the ball first.

9 Barce players around the ref at one point though.

i bet you 100 pounds danny alves will be sent off in this match ! Madrid got what they deserved ! Barca are also a bunch of cheats as well, BUT ATLEAST THEY TRY TO PLAY FOOTBALL FIRST rather than try to be part of some melo drama that is real madrid!

Can't believe some are defending barca here, that was never a sending off in a million years... They've been diving all night..

That was never a dive FFS. Was a stupid challenge, not saying he should have been sent off but it was a foul and a booking at least.

You reap what you sow -- all night Real and Barca are diving around, moaning, complaining and so the ref has gradually lost control forgetting he is dealing with a bunch of children who dive at the slightest contact, hence started to book players for fouls that were minor in nature.

If he was strong and had called the managers and captains together to inform them of the consequences of keeping the playacting up then it might not have happened -- Pepe went in with his studs showing and so off he went when Alves went on another swan dive.

Players and management to blame.

Utterly frustrating football match.

Give me a Hearts game any day of the week on a chilly December night against Hamilton.

Indeed ... In these rigid Mourinho games his freedom is curtailed somewhat ... Best as a free spirit.

Maybe a booking but he barely caught alves and he rolled about for about 5 mins... They've been doing that all night, rolling around and surrounding the ref whining like little bitches...

So have Real. They're both as bad as each other.

This.

And it's still a honking game of football.

The Barca players reaction to that tackle was a disgrace.

Aye, just ignore a potential leg-breaking tackle by a player with a history of nasty play, who's sole job in this set of games has been to destroy. Aye, right.

Pretty rotten game but it would be amazing to be in that stadium, what an atmosphere.

was there last week for the league game, the noise that is generated in the stadium is awesome due to how high and steep the stands are !

Wipe the snow out your eyes man.

That was never a Red Card.

A team as awesome as Barca undoubtedly are shouldn't be stooping to this level of disgraceful behaviour. Alves was rolling around like his foot had been hacked off, and Barca bullied the ref inton sending Pepe off.

I've never thought Pepe was a particularly dirty player. Certainly can't think of any incidents that stand out.

It is one of those games you look forward to, from a footballing point of view, Barcelona versus Real Madrid. But it appears under Mourinho, rather than playing football against Barcelona Madrid are content to stop Barcelona playing football. Tonight's game, last week's Spanish Cup Final and the league encounter the previous week have all been rather poor from a neutral's point of view as a result.

Last night's game was much more enjoyable to watch.

Game over now.

Real Madrid 0-1 Barcelona, with Lionel Messi scoring first, brings home a tasty 25/1.

I'll be jumping on that bandwagon.

Dont want to jinx u but this could be looking good!
