Nope :D

Closer than I've got though. :)

I've only been able to turn my attention to it in spurts, but Google is throwing up nothing for this one, despite a liberal sprinkling of "sculpture giant tools" and the like.

I found it completely by accident - it's a good one

What interests me is the connection between all these tools/instruments, and what that "pointy hammer" thing is. Looking forward to someone getting it.

All roads lead to Gorgie

It looks like it could be a park reclaimed from old coal workings or something.

Polkemmet country park?

Pointy hammer might be for chipping slag off welds or newly forged steel, think the rest are all foundry tools too.........and no, I can't find it.

Could be ironworks-related.

Well ironworks/foundry can be pretty much the same thing, certainly was when I was at Camerons in Livi

Yup. :) I meant specifically iron rather than another metal. Although I have no idea. It's a real puzzler this thing. Either the tools are all connected to the same trade or they're all examples of the types of tools that were made at this location.

That's a nice positive attitude. ;)

If it's of any help, I think (don't blame me if I'm wrong) the tools *might* be railway-related, although I'm probably heading down the wrong track in thinking so.

So Calton Hill doesn't start from the lower level of Calton Road, strange decision - I would think the 100 foot cliff is part of the hill.

Whilst I would agree it is a part of Calton Hill, I would respectively suggest that as an answer it is too vague. But then I'm a stickler for detail :whistling:

Complete guess coming up, is it some sort of memorial garden near where the tunnel collapsed near Grantshouse in the late 70s?
