Dolphins took a while to get going but they were good in the 2nd half, especially after Holland forced the Etienne fumble as he looked about to score

I see Kendrick Lamar will be the halftime artist at the Superbowl. Meh for me but at least I'll get a wee nap. 😀

Looks like it's Redzone for me since the SKY live game is the Falcons v Steelers

Somehow missed that the steelers game was the live game so spend most of the first half watching redzone and wondering why they were seemingly reluctant to show any of the steelers game

Anyway happy to start with a W, especially since nobody else in the AFC north managed to get off to a winning start

The Sky game has no bearing on Redzone.

There's an actual reason there was very little Steelers action on it...

Hagar the Horrible

Having watched game 1, now, early prediction is its between once again the Chiefs and the 49ers but the Cowboys are getting better.  The Jets will do better with a fit Rodgers.  By mid way through the regular season it will form a better picture.

I don't know why but I don't want the Browns to win anything, They are like the Newcastle of the NFL

It's Deshaun Watson...nobody really wants them to win anything while he's still playing for them. And they're stuck with him until 2026 at least, his ridiculous contract means he can't be cut before then. The Browns would take a $200m dead money cap hit if released before next June, but it gets better if he's released before June 2026...it's only $100m then

Heck I was thinking the Miami game was tomorrow but it's tonight...well, technically tomorrow as 1:15am. Oh well, late one it is. 😁

I gave up and went to bed just before it happened but it looks like Tua suffered another concussion.

He'd been having a shocker of a game as it was. They all had (apart from Achane).

I'm not a fan of him and think his new contract was ridiculous but you have to think all these concussions are going to lead to a serious health issue at some point.

I fell asleep and missed the game live...glad I did now 😭

Watched it this morning, well, up until it was 31-10 and no point watching any further. The first 2 interceptions weren't on Tua IMO, but the 3rd and backbreaking one certainly was.

We won't win many games with Tua out and Skylar Thompson starting, and Armstead injured...again! This team is cursed.

The running down the clock to the end of the first half was shocking and quite rightly the crowd were booing the play calls. Whether they were trying to avoid another interception, who knows.

Was looking at the SKY schedule and don't think there's another live Dolphins game for a while so will be relying on redzone. Maybe a good thing. 😁

We have a MNF game in two weeks against the Titans...not sure I'll be staying up to watch that, we suck on primetime games!

I reckon we were trying to run out the clock, and score, before the half, so as not to give the Bills a chance to get any more points. Not that that made any difference...

I was looking at this list

Not sure if they'll add more nearer the time.

Ah, ok, strange they don't have the MNF game on the 1st October. Although, from looking at the full schedule on NFL.com, it seems that's a 2 simultaneous MNF games night, so they must have chosen to show Seahawks-Lions over the Dolphins-Titans...not that you can blame them on that choice!

Was a strange one. He could have slid but looked like he initiated the hit.

For me vastly, vastly over rated at best anyway. He gets a lot of time to get the ball out, more than some of the other QB's that fall in to the over rated category - like the one in my avatar who gets little protection.

I'm not going to argue whether he's over-rated or not, but it's completely untrue that he gets a lot of time to get the ball out. The Dolphins have a pretty poor OL, as me and other fans of them will attest, and McDaniel mitigated against that a lot by having a system where the QB has to throw the ball very quickly after he gets it, so the OL dont have to hold their blocks long.

It plays to one of Tua's strengths, as he has a quick release and is accurate. Plus having the speed of Hill and Waddle to get open quickly. In fact, it's when he has more time and can't throw it quickly that his limitations come into play, he isn't good at moving past his initial read and just making something happen.

He had the fastest release time in the league last season 😂

Are the Dolphins much better? Only got last few seasons experience watching and wouldn't say Tua is anywhere near Burrow but who knows.

Fair enough but any time I watch the Dolphins highlights I see him get decent amount of time to go through his options.

Wasn't even trying to offend anyone  was just saying it looked like he actually tried to initiate the contact rather than slide and imo he is over rated. Plenty would say the same about Burrow, more would say the same about Herbert etc. Just opinions guys.

Agree that Tua initiated the contact with Damar Hamlin (ironic that he was the tackler), it's a bad move by any QB to go head first into contact...especially one with Tua's concussion history. He didn't do that so much last season, and of course played the whole season, clearly he forgot the lessons he learned!

Personally think he’s mad not hanging it up. That’s way too many concussions already. Hopefully if he does come back, he can stay safe and healthy for the remainder of his career. If he suffers more and it ends up really bad, folks are going to turn on the NFL and say they should have stepped in to stop him.

100% agree. You'd think his doctors are advising that he hangs it up?

I doubt they are because, even if Tua wanted to ignore their advice, then I don't think the Dolphins and McDaniel would let him carry on. The backlash from everyone if he carried on when advised to retire would be very bad news for the Dolphins, and the NFL.

IF he comes back. He’s given himself a month to consider it, he 100% needs to wear a guardian cap.

The hit he took wasn’t even *that* violent (it would hurt me for sure) but he was out from the second he made contact. He looked like a non rushing QB who doesn’t know how to protect himself. If he slid, it doesn’t happen.

Someone needs to keep hitting him over the head 😜 until he gets it that he can't run head first into a defender. It was a dumb move, especially for him with his injury history.

Ironically, when he put on weight last season and took jujitsu lessons on how to fall, he didn't take off running very often. Maybe he needs to get fat again and not try to run. Jujitsu lessons likely don't teach you to run head first into something

Rodgers looks, dare I say it, back? That rust looks to have gone, he was making plays outside the pocket last night, extending them, throwing on the run. He looks more sure on the Achilles now.

Good to see a bit of optimism for the Jets.

Amazing stat that his TD throw to Wilson last night was his 1st ever to a WR drafted in the 1st round. Bonkers. He’s thrown 525.

Well the Saints shat the bed.

Carr looked his usual self and the O line crumbled without McCoy. No idea what happened with that 2nd Eagles TD. Total brain fart from the Saints D.
