One of them being Steelers v Chiefs, seeing as it’s the first Xmas ribble jnr will not be an unaware baby I very much doubt I’ll get to watch

Well the full fixtures are out now and Steelers have been utterly dicked this season, 1 home game in the first month, 1st divisional game week 11, all 6 divisional games in the last 8 weeks with the other two games being a trip to Philly and a short week xmas game v Kansas City with 3 of the last 8 being short weeks

I feel the same for the Dolphins, another tough run in to end of season, with games in Green Bay and Houston, home to 49ers and then two cold weather games (which we never do well in) in Cleveland and New York to finish off. The first half of the season is ok, but the second half is brutal.

Feels like the NFL is saying to the Dolphins, you think you're a good team but seem to collapse late on, well here's another chance to prove us wrong...or not.

Least you have 4 of the first 5 games against teams that didn't make the playoffs last year so there's a chance of starting off hot (especially with 3 of the first 4 being at home)

Yeah, easy to see a similar season to last for the Dolphins, starting off fast and being in contention for the Division before faltering (or hopefully not, as a fan) as the schedule gets harder late in the season.

Every road game's like a home one for us "oh yeah of little faith".;)

Bring it on! (maybe)

Bit of a mixed bag for us.

Reasonable start, and we won’t play outdoors until week 9 but our bye is week 5 (something needs to change with bye weeks) and 4 of our 5 after the bye are road games.

I hope the NFL eventually goes to an 18 week season, with 2 byes, and only 2 pre-season games. It's on the cards, Goodell wants it....and pre-season is too long (3 games is anyway). The NFLPA has been against it so far, but I expect they'll come on board with an increase to how much revenue the players get of share of or something similar.

I’m less fussed about an 18 game season but definitely would like bye weeks looked at. It’s a competitive advantage. Us having a bye week 5 is stinking, no one needs a bye at week 5.

They could easily do NFC off one week, then AFC off the next. Or a complete shut down for one week.

Another idea would be every team in North divisions off week 8, East week 9 and so on.

Yeah, hate an early bye too, there's definitely a competitive advantage to having a later one in the season. Dolphins have an early one (again) this season too, week 6.

Apparently it's something owners can lobby for, and the more powerful owners often seem to get their way when it comes to schedules and bye weeks.

Steelers bye is week 9, the only slight positive to our schedule as we'll 100% need the bye week before going into the remaining games (At Commanders, Ravens, At Browns, at Bengals, Browns, At Eagles, At Ravens, Kansas City, Bengals) with the Eagles, Ravens and KC games in just 10 days

Was being "a bit" facetious although not with regard to our travelling support. Love seeing them in their thousands, no matter where.

Tough schedule right enough.

all credit to the away fans, I had a look at the raiders game as I’ll likely be in vegas that week with work but cheapest tickets are around $500 which is way to much of a risk in case work plans change

The wife and I have been down to Pitt three times for games, Bucs (lost), Bengals (won) and Ravens (lost).

Usually there Thursday through to the Monday and no matter the outcome just love the trip.

Not a cheap interest though. :(

Raiders tickets are outrageous. I thought the Vegas thing would have worn off and prices would have come down but consistently $400+

When I had a Texans season ticket, there were a few times when demand was so high I could have resold ticket to cover cost of season ticket (~$600). Others times, I literally couldn’t give my seat ticket away.

Everything Vegas is outrageous. I tried to go and watch the Hockey when I was there (2017), even seats in the rafters to watch a regular season game on a Tuesday night were a couple of hundred quid. Madness.

Pete Prisco form CBS predicting the Steelers will win no more than 7 games this season whilst slating Russell Wilson. To only win 7 would make this the worst Steelers team under Mike Tomlin and I just can't see it, Wilson's no where near a top 10 QB but he's better than Kenny Picket, plus we've made improvements to the Oline and our OC is run orientated anyway.

I've been to four NFL games in the States, paid anywhere between £50 (Redskins) to £140 (Eagles MNF).

That's probably about my limit unless it was a big Lions game *insert joke here*.

Ordered the new Lions jerseys from Fanatics, what a shambles.

It turns out they receive blank jerseys and then apply their own printing. The shade of blue they've used for the lettering/numbering on the black alternate jersey is completely different. Not even a little out, a completely different shade of blue.

Pretty mental that someone at Fanatics has looked at that, and approved it.

Had no idea that was what they did. Is it hidden in small print anywhere? I'd be sending it back!

Not sure. I knew they did their own printing as the quality is vastly different between Fanatics Int and Fanatics US. I think US do screen printing and Int do heat transfer.

I just can't understand why the colours are so vastly different.

1 - Surely there is a style guide / Pantone colour to be used

2 - That they are so different and someone has legit approved it

Only a mug would keep the jersey.

Looking forward to them supplying Hibs tops though 🤣

Why didn't you just order straight from the Lions' official shop?

I've always gone through the Steelers' and never had a problem.

I’ve ordered two previous seasons, quality has been superb. I have bought real jerseys whilst in the US before, but just buy these whilst here now. Ordering new ones for myself and my boys soon. Will try and get some pics and post them up👍

Justin Fields apparently making huge strides early in camp. Little nuances, like the ball tap before throwing seem to be going and he's allegedly getting the ball out earlier and more decisively.

Fresh start might be what he's needed.

Getting well ripped off with subs for DAZN who replaced NFL Gamepass. The DAZN app is garbage compared to the previous version. GMFB disappeared a while back claiming to be back soon, after moving to a new location, still nothing, and now Total Access is gone for good. Time to start firing off emails again, I must have sent at least 50/60 since DAZN took over, it’s seriously poor, not worth the money.🤬

Loved it during Covid. That's when I really got into it.

I miss the core of Kay & Nate alongside Peter and Kyle however. Devin is good but I don't think Jamie brings the same as Kay did.

Original lineup was definitely the best. They all just fed off each other perfectly.

Reading up on it, saying the first sign of trouble for them was losing TNF. Now supposedly trying to offload the Network to ESPN. Watch loads of their product on my iPad whilst out and about, so starting to worry about what kind of mobile coverage there will be next season. Often thought about subscribing to college football service, anyone do this?

Still 100 days away from the new season officially kicking off.

Worst time of the year now for me…feel completely lost 😂. No NFL, no Hearts games to go to and no football of any kind to watch on the tv at the weekends or during the week. Least the euros start soon I guess. Roll on the new seasons starting!

Yeah, June and July are the longest months of the year to me for that reason. As you say, at least there's the Euros starting soon, and then there's the Olympics in July....should be enough to help me survive 😆

I only just found out that Larry Allen had passed away. Only 52 years old, way too young. Rest easy big man, you were a phenomenal player.

New series of NFL Hard Knocks isn't going to be a specific team as normal, this season they are going to do the last 6 weeks of the season in the AFC North so Steelers, Ravens, Bengals and Browns will all feature, should be an interesting watch

Think there’s 2 seasons of it this year. The giants are the first team on it. That comes out July 2nd I think. Then this one with the 4 divisional rivals comes out in December time.

On another note, only 11 more weekends until the nfl starts again. Time is really dragging. Honestly the worst time of year for me with no NFL and no hearts games 😞

Not surprised. He really was thrown into a shit show in Chicago. For that reason alone as good a prospect he is I don't see Caleb being the best rookie QB this year of the ones who are immediate starters. Still happy with the JJ pick and happy to see him sit behind Darnold for the 1st year.

Trailer just came out for the Giants edition of Hard Knocks that comes out next week. Looks to be interesting to see what actually happened with the team and Saquon. First time my Giants have ever been on Hard Knocks so fair excited to tune in :)
