Just give the Rams the trophy right now. It'll probably be the biggest whipping since The Broncos v The 49ers @ superbowl XXIV. Might put some money on a 40+ victory.

See, I thought that when Kansas shot into lead. Maybe, just maybe, the Bengals have a shot.

Well done Sir. That will teach me to second guess coaches and Bengals.

Most enjoyable humble pie I've had for ages.

Will be hard against Rams in LA, but you need to be there to have chance and Burrows is in there fighting.

The draft is fairly straightforward at first. It's 7 rounds of picks where all 32 teams pick once in each round, depending on their record the previous season. The team with the worst record picks first in each round, then the 2nd worst, etc, etc, until the Superbowl winner picks last. The picks are from the college ranks of players, where they have to have done 3 years of college before they can enter the draft (so no 18 year old going straight from High School to the NFL). Surprisingly for the USA, it's fairly socialist, in that the worst team are given the most help (in higher picks) to get better!

It's gets more complicated though in that each team can trade draft picks to other teams if they want, either for other draft picks (eg. I'll give you my 1st round pick that's 10th in the round for your 1st round pick at #20 and your 2nd round pick), or for players that the other teams already have (as might happen with Rodgers). Or trade picks in one year for picks in another. That's why you won't see all 32 teams picking as their original draft picks would have had them.

The team, once they draft the player and sign him, own his rights. So for players who've been in the league for a while, that's what other teams would trade their picks for, the player's rights and his contract.

Unlike our football, you can't just buy a player from another team, you have to trade for him.

It gets a lot more complicated than that, but that's the basics. And once you get the draft, it makes it one of the best parts of the offseason, both hoping that your team gets to pick a certain player, and waiting on draft night to see who they do pick.

Sorry mate never thanked you for this. Appreciated. Understand alot of it and have been researching the areas i'm still unsure of.

Cheers.

Has been a pleasure to witness greatness all these years and from the very beginning too. I was there for his first official Patriot game against the Jets when he replaced an injured Drew Bledsoe. I was a huge Montana fan but I think Brady was better. Hope he has a great retirement. Well deserved. 22 years is a long time to be getting the $#!t kicked out off you 6 months a year.

Spent most of the guys career hating him, but just can’t deny how special  he was. He even retired with class, could have held off for a payday, but instead decides to save the Bucs an estimated $15m. Yes he didn’t need it, but plenty would have taken it. He done this throughout his career also, thinking about his teams salary cap and winning things, which were more important to him than the money. As you say, glad I also got to witness greatness. My dynasty fantasy is in mourning at his passing, but is also celebrating the birth of a new star in Trey Lance.

He always understood that taking a huge percentage of the salary cap for himself meant less money to spend on a good O line to defend him and less money for the guys he wanted to throw to. Flaco at Baltimore was a prime example of that attitude. Won A Super Bowl then put the team in the gutter the next few years by taking silly money for himself. There were many seasons that Brady wasn’t even in the top 10 paid quarterbacks. That’s nuts. That’s like Craig Gordon being the 11th best paid goalie in our league. I’ll miss him. Watching him was like watching Tiger. If there was time on the clock or a few holes to birdie you believed he could do what was required. The Atlanta comeback was the greatest ever. Absolutely ridiculous that they won that. Don’t think another QB could have talked his team mates into believing.

Exactly my point, the reason he was playing the game was more important than his bank balance. More players should maybe try following his example than thinking about the payday. Mahomes has already started thinking about the cash over the team.

I’m going to stick up for Peyton here.

Wow. Brian Flores suing the Giants and the NFL. Belichick texted him before his HC interview congratulating him on getting the job...he thought he was texting Daboll. He's alleging racism, as the interview would be a sham just to get by the Rooney rule.

He also accuses Dolphins owner Ross of offering him $100k for every loss two years ago (the tank year) and of trying to get him to meet a QB (presumably Watson) in 2019, which would be tampering.

Apparently the QB was Brady and not Watson. I'm not sure why it would be tampering then, as Brady was a free agent (unless he was still under contract with the Patriots at the time).

Now I know why you’re watching it in the house. Imagine someone who knows you spotting you in the pub with a Bengals top on. I’ll be wearing my new Darius Leonard top.

It definitely is. I’ll also be cheering on the Bengals on Sunday, a few reasons, but one being OBJ on the other side. Man is an absolute walloper, don’t want him winning it.

Tottenham wanting to host super bowl 2026, Spurs will finally see a trophy if they are able to host.

I know money is king, but I’d be very very surprised if they allow a Super Bowl to be hosted outside the USA

Yeah mate thought that to once I seen it.

No danger they will have a super bowl outside the USA with the money it brings and the time difference too. It's like the WWE not had a PPV in the UK for years and doesn't look like it will ever happen.

The best the UK will get is the European games I don't even think there will be a franchise too in the UK that talk seemed to off cooled in recent years.

Been a Bengals fan since Hard Knocks 2012

Through thin and thinner.

Early shift Monday and can’t get it off.

Dilemma.

Stay up all night.

Skive

The days of hoping to get through day without knowing score long gone
