Shouldn't we be asking who re-signed Kello when the manager clearly preferred Balogh? After all, it's the managers opinion (not mine or yours) that should count surely? No Bruno No Karipidis No Berra (for half a season) No Zaliukas No Neilson (for experience and example) No Driver (for way too many games) No Elliot (as an option) No Suso (of late) Couple of dreadful signings. Still no strikers of any standard. Horrendous atmosphere throughout the whole club (from owner to manager to player to punter). Largely apathetic and punch drunk support. Should we be asking if Mr Romanov knows a good player when he see's one, and Csaba doesn't, because Kello is by far the better of the two keepers. Personally, I'd like to see Mr Romanov take over team affairs again, and win us the cup, and qualify for the champions league again, fact is, we were more successful when he was interfering. Were we though?? The groundwork was laid by Burley before his abrupt departure and if i was a Hearts player i still had plenty to play for and cling onto. IMO, the team almost carried themselves for the rest of the season. The players always spoke of the unity and friendship in the team and the desire to go on and win something. Rix and Ivanauskas just had to be there to make sure it looked like we had a coach. The season after was when we saw the Romanov effect. We still finished 4th but that was poor considering the players we still had and we also had that nightmare spell of defeats before we steadied the ship 6 or 7 games from the end.
