redm
RedM - thats a bit broad brush for you He didnt just say Celtic wouldnt win. The window dressing he added is the issue. And whatever the interpretation "shallow club" goes beyond an opinion on a game. And I am not sure just how often other clubs comment on Hearts or Vlad along those lines? We would scream blue murder if any other SPL club commented on our Europa league draw, our lack of prospects of success and the fact that we play such limited football that we are unlikely to get through.....which depending on the the team we get would probably be quite an accurate statement also Or we might all be quite sanguine about it, and there not even be a thread on it....... Yep, we would indeed have a thread or two jam packed full of indignation and outrage...but what do you think you'd find the fans of the perpetrator's club saying on their own message board? You'd find them chuckling with merry glee and backing their 'own' all the way. Other clubs have plenty to say about Hearts, let's not pretend otherwise. Some of the comments made by representatives of other clubs have been nothing short of ignorant untruths, occasionally laced with a bit of gratuitous racism. I don't like it but it doesn't give me sleepless nights, and to be honest it helped us at times last season and motivated us into adopting a siege mentality which is no bad thing. C'est la vie. It might not be pleasant at times but it gives us something to blether about...
Miller Jambo 60
Jeez, this thread is a bit rich. I enjoy Vlads outbursts. I enjoy his digs , particularly at the OF. It makes things entertaining. Im not sure why we would be moaning about that? Are we seriously trying to say that we get an unfair rub of the green becuase of what Vlad says? I think there is far more too it than just Vlad. Thing is Vlad winds them up and he is hated for that. Stuff the OF and their crawling Journos.

jamcow1
Its interesting Every time Vlad opens his mouth about Scottish football he makes a cheap jibe about the old firm and another "hysterical" quip about referees. Never really says anything about Hearts. If he were on JKB I'd have thought he'd be slated as being tedious, monotonous, a usual suspect that only continually moans about the same things.... We slag hobos for speaking only of Hearts. Yet our owner speaks only of old firm and is lauded as some sort of comical hero genius ive goten so used to vlads rants and so uterly numb to them that i only see there funny side...and admit to seeing him as a comical genius

colinmaroon
Vlad has been asked to make a comment due to his nationality and connection with Scottish football. Whether he is speaking for himself or as our owner is immaterial. This is how it will be perceived. Should he be derided for it? Absolutely not. Should the rag that is the record have reported it? Absolutely. Is the celtic spokesman correct to say what he did? Absolutley. Vald put a dig in to celtic, celtic put a dig into Vlad, big deal. He has been asked his view and answered, the matter should be nowhere near the SFA or SPL or whoever the hell is running Scottish football at the minute. Two guys having sly digs at each other's fitba teams. Who would have thought it!!!!! Point of order!!! That's a damned lie!!! NO ONE is running Scottish Football!!! .............. Its like 99% of people on here say the Hobo's obsession with commenting on Hearts more than their own team is embarrassing. Same thing no? The embarrassing side of it isnt a big issue in any event. The biggest dig in the last five to ten years in Scottish football is the two of them openly stating they want to leave the SPL and play in a league outside Scotland. In the press? No he doesnt. But he's his own worst enemy in that respect so I have little sympathy. Do I think there is a chance that that quote is entirely made up and he neither made a dig at Celtic the club nor the fact that they might gain success with the assistance of referees? No - there may be subtle interpretational differences but I think it is likely he slagged Celtic as a club and that he made a dig about referees. Whether we like the way we are treated within Scottish football or not is one thing. How the club deal with it is another. Despite the lack of standards elsewhere in Scottish football we should ensure that we, Hearts Football Club, always conduct ourself professionally and with dignity. Not doing so makes us just as bad, if not worse, than those we complain of, and renders the point being made impotent I'm sure you, in the past, have suggested that I personally might have made a good point, but I wasted it with the surrounding drivel or rant in the rest of my post. Same argument applies here re Vlad
