Does this really work? If you've not received your last five wage packets you can surely walk away from your contract. It is a fundamental breach of contract. The SFA would soon withdraw the player registration in these circumstances. Flog yourself around to the highest signing-on fee bid and you are suddenly a lot, lot richer.

Spot on ! A lot of people were saying the same things last summer when bids for berra and drver can in. We were suppose to be close to the end then so we had to sell them. It was no surprise that neither went ! i`m not saying that some players will not go in Jan but i very much see a fire sale when players are knocked out on the cheap ! Karipidis and Ruben are very similar in roles they play, the highest earner would go? Basso and Makela punted for mutual compensation.

There are those on here that thrive on a crisis, anything so they can have a good moan. There is no EVIDENCE players will be sold and no proof there is a finacial crisis. Media speculation quickly becomes facts on here and I will wait and see what Jan brings.

No joke, Basso is rumoured to be on ?7,000 a week. Hearts tried to get him to sign a longer term deal on less money at the end of last season, his agent knocked it back, hence Basso's subsequent isolation from the first team.

The bank system could be to blame for :

 

1) The players not being - twice.payed on time

 

Perfect possible but imo unlikely.

 

2) Paying big earners later than the rest of the squad.

That post is a quite frightening level of self denial and utter and complete ignorance far beyond the realms of basic stupidity.

 

Hearts are in serious though not terminal financial difficulty with more reports generating that there are 4 small companies taking Hearts to court next week for more non payment of bills. (Source: BBC News 5.30).

 

The real creditors won't have heen quoted yet which will be the Inland Revenue for the PAYE tax and the VAT man and if Vlad hasn't being paying them either then the consequences could be immense and there is no doubt Hearts are relying on a big player sale in January to generate some sort of funds to buy time.

 

Long term though I'm still very positive because Romanov is now almost finished and I've no doubt that Hearts will survive as all clubs with fanbases of 15,000 plus regular fans always do and while there may be tough times ahead there will always be people out there and hopefully genuine Hearts fans who want to own a football club and restore some self respect.

1) We are absolutely fine, it was a clerical error and its all sorted now.

 

2)We are rubber ducked, and are going to have to sell off at least 6 of the top earners in order to be around at the end of the season.

Excuse me for not wetting my pants in terror at the stories coming out this week. FAR FAR bigger companies/organisations than Heart of Midlothian FC are up poop creek due to current climate. If the sale of 6 or so players (some of whom have been average to rotten for the majority of thier time at the club) eases concerns and allows us to exist then it looks like a small price to pay. We look like we are the first to feel the brunt of this, no way will we be the last.

I have stated before there is no doubt the UBIG have money problems, as has been stated, most companies have just now.

The point I am trying to stress is, NO-ONE outwith the club knows what is going on and never will. DH started with negative comments about all the good players being sold. There is no Proof that will happen. I have no doubt there will be players sold. Who and how many no-one knows.

So we are agreed , we both feel passionately about Hearts. I will never let the media wind me up, and IF things go T!Ts up, will do what I can when the time comes. Too many journos use this board( and others) to fabricate a crisis where none exist. Yes, players have had to wait to be paid, I told the story ( on an other thread) about how as an Ambulance Driver we had this problem regularly ( without a single word in the media).There is no point moaning about behind the scenes goings on, because there is HE HAW we can do to change things.( IF only).
