Please, please, please. If you don't feel like confronting any of the idiots directly (and I think most of us know that the prospect of taking on a boozed/drugged-up sub-human low-life is not the way we want to spend out afternoons), tell a steward! Remember that there is CCTV covering all the stands, simply by identifying to a steward you can help Hearts boot out these no-marks.

Every time we play Celtic, guys that you have never seen before in your area seem to appear.

The one yesterday in Sec E lower, back row, was shouting "Bead rattling ^^^^s" at every opportunity. I bet half of their team aren't even catholic but it doesn't seem to stop these half-wits shouting a load of rubbish.

Not only that - half of our team are catholics. Just proves your point that these tossers have not got the slightest clue.

There are too many empty headed cretins in the world. Aside from the unbelievably sick song about Brown's sister, I saw one guy accompanying his version of 'Who S***ed all the boys' with mock sex actions. That's right, the boy was actually 'bantering' about paedophilia by miming raping a kid.

Our society, not Hearts, has some serious social issues.

You are absolutely right - society has some serious issues with this sort of mindset and the behaviour it breeds. However, attributing it to society doesn't take away the responsibility of the club and individuals from trying to tacle it. We are all an integral part of the society that has spawned this sort of stuff.

Can't believe people would sing that about his sister, it really is disgusting. There were a couple of songs yesterday I didn't agree with, but there will always be people who want to sing songs like that, unfortunately.

Just the part about the flags, there was a young guy in front of us yesterday who had a union jack, he has the same jacket as my brother, so as we are walking to the car, a nice Celtic supporter decided to start calling my brother a loyalist pr*ck, how he saw him with his union jack, when I tried to tell him we were in the row behind, I was told to shut up. I just don't understand young guys taking flags like this to Hearts game, we don't want to be known as "mini huns" we are Jambos!

Maybe I have a twisted sense of humour but as annoyed as I was about being 2-0 down the "can you hear the wee huns sing" amused me since there was a wee lad in front of me (well in front and to my left) with his Union Jack looking all sombre. Fairly apt in that scenario.

As for being "tarred with the same brush" I get where you're coming from. I know a few Celtic fans an whether it's banter from friends or a stereotype from others, I do get the whole "you're a section N bigot aren't you?" from time to time. Hardly the case and the same applies to many of the good fans that sit around me!

i moved to section 'n' this season to save cash and quite frankly i was disgusted at some of the shouts on Sunday. i have my 8 year old boy with me and he is constantly asking why or what we are singing. how do you explain to a wee boy why we are singing some of the bile that came out on sunday.

Scott Brown like Neil Lennon is not liked because he is a good player and arrogant on the pitch. i do not like any of them for this reason but some of the abuse lennon and brown got was disgusting. i know it is difficult to listen to the majority of the away support singing their vile songs but our small minority of tubes who sing the rubbish back at them should grow up and rise above it.

the SFA hate us as it is without giving them more ammunition. the stupid flag that was unfurled at half time in the bottom corner of the wheatfield was totally pointless. anybody who found that in the least bit amusing is also sick.

I have no idea, I sit in Section E lower and I could see the abuse going back back and forth from sections G & H but I didn't know what had happened.

It was apparently so sick that the radio phone-ins didn't want to repeat it.

That's the problem though mate, your obviously a dad who doesn't want his little boy growing up to be part of the next generation of mindless bigots. The guys, and girls possibly too, that take part in these horrible chants clearly didn't have sensible parents that taught them right from wrong.

One part of me pity's them but it's not an excuse, anyone with a brain in their head should be able to make up their own mind of what is acceptable and what isn't.

Unfortunately this level-headed stance seems to be viewed as putting you in the "PC Brigage" or whatever...

Couldn't agree with you more. I've been in section N for the past 4 seasons (prior to that I was in Gorgie stand) and it was the same reason as yourself that I'm there (got to love the credit crunch eh?!). Being so close to the away support does make for good banter both ways (can't remember who it was we were playing when the flood lights faultered and the chants of "you havne' paid all your bills" went up, that tickled me) but it does mean that there's more than a few that "take it too far". Sort of like that 'Chewin' The Fat' sketch really!

I'm not abdicating responsibility for the club, but I think there's really a limit on what can be done by the club itself. You can shut parts of the ground or ban fans but these are unlikely (as has been proved) to weed it out. Hearts certainly don't actively promote people with anti-social behaviour coming to Tynecastle and neither do the vast majority of the fans.

I just worry about the mentality of anyone who thinks singing songs about dead people is an acceptable way to behave, and no amount of work by the club can make these people into reasonable human beings.

How on earth do you smuggle something that size (even folded) past to police and stewards!

Having the misfortune to experience the arsehole stewards and police first hand its not particularly hard.

Btw was anyone in section G and saw the aftermath?

Think 1 or 2 people were asked to come outside and have a word with the lovely officers from L&B.

With all due respect to ther decent fans in sections G and N .............there is clearly a purpose to people choosing that area to sit, when the norm would surely be to choose somewhere where one might actually get a good view of the game

I am in the same position, As on saturday for example there were are a couple of head bangers hanging around that see the need to shout as much foul language as possible towards the oposition's players that may be near by even when we played Killie the boys face was red with anger with his antics,

and the beauty of it was one of them was lifted on saturday for sqauring up to the 3500 smeltic fans at half time giving it como head ya bunch o etc etc etc

If in charge of stewarding, my policy would be to approach said bammer at half time and escort him across the running track and into the school end... Put your money where your neanderthal mouth is sir!

No matter what team they play for, taunting anyone about the tragic loss of a young family member is something only pure **** would do.

This Scott Brown episode is turning into our very own Russell Brand moment- VERY few people heard it (i'm in lower N and heard nothing) and yet EVERYONE is getting their opinion in.

The song was no doubt a disgrace but was more than likely sung by about 5 guys. If you were one of the few who actually heard it then you know what to do - get your mobiles out ........cue silence as supporters decide which is worse: the Brown song or being a grass

More than likely if these guys are singing such a song then they will follow it up with another so give the police their seat positions and they will be on the watch for them. Easy.

I sit in N2 and I never heard the song being sung but if it was then it is well out of order.

Let's get one thing clear here. These ****bags from the west bring out the worst in fans at every ground they turn up at. I have seen normaly placid fans burst with rage when these clowns come to town and act in a manner that they would never normaly act in any other game.

When any of the ugly sisters come to town they seem to get away with murder and L&Bs finest just stand back and watch.

On sunday while walking down McLeod Street with my lad I saw hundreds of these cretins with large glass bottles of bevy, litre bottles of Vodka/20-20 and Buckie.

You never see this at any other game at Tynecastle, you only get with the pests from the west.

On entering the lane at the nursery to get to the turnstyles I was spat at , called a proddy orange ******* and various other names. I told my lad to continue to the turnstyles as I did not know what was about to kick off. I then told the creature exactly what I thought of him. By now I was raging and I collard the first copper I saw and told him what was happening I got the reply "the guys(other cops) in McLeod street will deal with it". I then told him that there were only cops at the top of the street and at the entrence to the away end but there were none in the middle. The cops partner then asked me what offence I thought they were commiting. I replied that they are walking down the street abusing any and all Hearts fans while carrying large glass bottles. I was then told that they are not commiting any offence and I felt that if I had pushed the matter I would have probably got lifted.

We all know that every team has a bad eliment but the **** that follow the old firm do and will always bring out the worst in any fans that they come up against.

if any hearts fans did sing songs about scott browns sister they should hang thee heads in shame! they have disgraced themselves and heart of midlothian and should be banned from tynecastle for life, sad low life

Sorry but if fans phoned that number you would have been cleared. So it seems like a good idea to me.

and who is to say that the situation didnt come about in the first place because some celtic fan was bored?

Its a system far too open to abuse, if people want to report people the easiest and most foolproof way is to contact a police officer.
