Hmfc1965 Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Oh FFS. Computer says no. Some on here say yes.
Bindy Badgy Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Not a chance. There is no way he should have been taking it. His confidence has obviously gone to hell.
edramone Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Seriously?! He was just shot of confidence. He looked like he was praying to the Gods when he was teeing up the penalty
daftie Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Morgan, Jeezo were all hurting, but why oh why would he choose to bloody miss. It was a horrendous penalty, end of. He fully knows the stick he’s going to get if he missed. His bottle went and he needs dropped, simple as. He should never have taken it. I would have let Spittal take it.
Psychedelicropcircle Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 No he’s just devoid of confidence. Time for a seat on the bench. If he’s no happy with that **** um.
jtkb Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Nah but it sums him up this season dug meat hopefully manager sees sense and benches him now.
neilnunb Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 4th pen miss in his last 7. Shouldn't be on them.
Perth to Paisley Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Ridiculous suggestion. I suggest you close your account before friends or family see this post
redjambo Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 No. He missed it because he was desperate to score a flamboyant penalty to regain the adulation of the fans and the press. Surprised he didn't go for a Panelka.
Malinga the Swinga Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Not sure he has the ability to do so. He should have had courage to let someone else take it though instead of acting like billy big baws. He needs dropped immediately and punted in January

Jacques de Gauthier Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 The fact that some of us are even asking the question should be a wake up call to the management team.
AC Mallin_51 Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Absolutely not but he looked like he was going to miss before he hit it. There is no way he was 100% confident stepping up to it so he should’ve been a man and aww aye.. a captain! And put the team first and handed it to someone else
The Old Tolbooth Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 His recent penalty record is stinking for a striker, he’s bang out of form and should never have taken it, it was a stupid decision letting him take it!

AlimOzturk Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 He missed it because his confidence is gone. His confidence is gone because he let the summer nonsense get to his head and rather than knuckle down he’s completely chucked it. It’s his own fault and probably the oeople advising him as well.
jambo1975 Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 No but should never have been the one to take it. Needs to never pull on the jersey again, rather have Musa or indeed Boyce playing than him. He's done with this club as far as I'm concerned
Absolute Scenes Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Nah. He missed it because he’s shite and chose to shit on hearts contract and believe he was going to rangers. He missed it because he’s an arse
whodanny Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Of course not Morg. He's a professional. He's lost it for whatever reason, needs to be dropped, or at least benched. Sadly I think his time with us is up. But he wouldn't miss on purpose.

indianajones Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Not scored in an age and goes for the top of the net. He's just not very bright.
Gambo Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 His body language means it’s a valid question, not a nice question but a valid one. Only he knows.

So professional that he looks like he's towing the caravan Halkett brought back from his injury layoff with him.

Morgan Posted November 28, 2024 Author Posted November 28, 2024 Ok, ok. Daft suggestion from me. I just don’t understand why his penalty taking style changed tonight. And, I’m so feckin angry.
Kirky Jambo Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Daft OP obviously but you have to question why he was taking it. I genuinely think most of us thought he was going to miss

Malinga the Swinga Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 It's a sad reflection on Shankland that this thread even exists. So little effort, so little commitment from a captain of Hearts.

Duggie 1874 Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Nah if he had tried to miss it he probably would have scored

flem Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 It was that bad a miss thats the way it seemed at the time. No way he should have been taking it.
