I think when he did make errors Gordon was nowhere near the first team. When Gordon was back fit, Clark noticeably improved - not sure if that was just coincidence or not.

He cost a goal up at Aberdeen, wasn’t clever at the Ross County goals, or 4 of the Rangers goals, or the St Mirren away goal.
But he has improved with the competition for his place.

You don't have to do anything wrong to lose your place, If there is a better player in the squad in your position, the better player takes priority.

If Gordon was showing he is sharp and demonstrably in better form, he would be in goals.

The fact he isn't perhaps says he isn't as sharp as he was.

Wasn’t there rumours about Clarke potentially leaving next season?

Moving forward to next season, Craig is hardly going to be long term if indeed he gets back to previous form

Zander will surely be no 1 certainly I wouldn't want him to go elsewhere.

You can't keep both goalkeepers happy.

There was rumours that he fancied going down south but nobody wanted him two years ago, be a good time to cash in on him.

I can't see him sitting around being #2. If the plan is indeed for Gordon to be back in the sticks next year.

Looks like the euro squads are going to be extended from 23 to 26 players. Any chance that could be mean 4 keepers could now go rather than just 3?

Would be a complete waste of a pick. Three keepers is maximum required

Getting back to Saturday, something we've been great at most of the season has been last-ditch defending, with good communication between Clark and our central defenders who work well together. The opposition get within 8 yards of our goal and we have bodies in the way, backed by a shot-stopping goalie (Clark). Both of Rangers goals came from the kind of attacks we would normally have stifled or blocked, one way or the other. I'm not sure that there yet is that level of understanding between Gordon and the central defence. I'm a massive Craig Gordon fan, but I think, looking forward, the defence should be built on a core of Clark, Kingsley, Kent and Rowles. Halkett, too, fingers crossed.

Looking at the 26 man squads for Euro 2020, 3 teams picked 4 GKs - Switzerland, Belgium and England, so although in the minority, it's not completely out there that some will take 4.

I get that it could be seen as a waste of a pick but maybe it increases the chances of both Clark and Gordon getting to go, which is what I think most us would be hoping for.
