Jackhmfc1348
Feel like hearts should get a new statue of a legendary player (or more than one) who do you think deserves one and where ?

Jackhmfc1348
In my opinion at the next meeting we should recommend some statues of players Whenever i go down to England to see stadiums the first thing I do is check the statues

SM8
I have long thought a statue in the same style as the first GU banner this season (wee jambos alongside dad v Rosenborg), or similar but on dad’s shoulders, would look perfect and summarise beautifully the events of saving the club for future generations If it has to be a player, Terrible Trio in the style of United’s trinity, Dave Mackay or Zal

Rudiscoresagain
I think there should be umpteen statues of our legendary players located below the stands. A bit like the soldier at the remembrance garden. Having them in the ground means no chance of the wee team clowns vandalising them.
zeke1874
Grew up in the 1980s so for me has to be Robbo. In a goal scoring celebration pose! Also get that mcleod street gable end done in a huge Zaliukas mural. Come on Hearts. Do it!

22inarow
Three possibilities spring to my mind: A team statue of the 1914 team that joined McCrae's Batallion. A three-man statue of Conn, Bauld and Wardhaugh. If it's to be a single person, it has to be either Tommy Walker or Dave Mackay. I don't think living people should be considered. Its an open goal for the board. Just offer some money or whatever to "rent the space". Every fan would love it and would totally add to the emotive feel of walking up to the main stand. There might be other players who won more honours, but because of Zals sad early death and our association with the MND charity it would be fitting if the mural was him. Benny Klack
Dave Mackay statue. Really like the idea of a Marius Zaliukas mural though - holding up the cup with the Lithuania flag tied around his waist. A nice view for visiting Hibby’s.
