Turn up in the buff just now and we'd win.

If I wanted to see dicks flopping about, I'd surely just go to the echodome...

The pink strip is great. I hope that we retain it for next season and wear it more often.

This shade of pink is like Pepto bismal, i.e. gross and far too flamboyant.

A nice "perfectly cooked salmon shade" of pink.. with black shorts... lovely.

You said it wasn’t a “proper” colour but yet it’s ok for the women’s team to wear 🤔

I like the pink kit, as said before it's very vibrant and stands out from the rest, the all white kit is outstanding, I love the nod towards the 1875 image of the team (that pose should be recreated)

The only real success we can achieve this year is the Scottish Cup, Maroon, pink, white ribbons on the cup ??? It wouldn't matter one jot in my eyes what colour we wore, each kit colour would be unique on the day as winners.

BTW for all the fans of the pink kit they are on sale from today and Shanks is at a £1000 already.

Judging by the tone of this thread and the lack of love for the pink kit I doubt whoever has laid down a grand isn't on here tonight :)

I noticed there’s a lot of hidden charges that I haven’t seen on that site before. The bid price is before a buyers premium of 10% and VAT.

So whoever bid £1,000 will have further charges of £314.

I think with white shorts and socks the pink could have looked mint.  Just the wrong side of garish.  The white kit however is magnificent

What purpose does that rule serve.

Pink kit is our best selling away kit ever for those who dislike it.

It's beautiful. Hopefully we get to wear it for a Scottish Cup Final Win.

Buyers premium is a new one, never noticed that before.

I'm also certain that VAT used to be included in the bidding price, not added afterwards on top.   Just checked one I bought a few months ago, and the VAT was included in the final bid price.

"Why was the Buyer's Premium introduced in 2024?

The Buyer’s Premium covers our rigorous authentication process and other services. In 2024 we are improving the consumer experience and introducing a new authentication process. Together with our partner Fabricks, we are rolling out a personal digital authentication certificate, which 100% guarantees and protects the identity of our shirts and is powered by NFC chips. This digital authentication service is the most advanced technology in sports memorabilia and will be implemented over the course of 2024."

Aye, whatever!    you'll also pay VAT on top of the 10% premium.

I assume away kits are down the manufacturer's marketing department.

What would they know, eh?

Our best selling away strip ever proves they do know.

I would also imagine that the club would be contracted to use it so many times.

I also assume the club gets more say in the 3rd strip and is more akin to popular likes on here.

I'm not itk and am educating guessing and also not a lover of pink strips. It does amuse when posters rip their knitting over it though.

Don’t think I’ve ever had the energy to “hate” a kit we have played in.

Some of the players that have played in those kits though ….. 🤭

Tbh I really like the Pink Kit and accept it’s commercially a winner but IF we get to the cup final (🙏) and there was no clash with the opposition - I’d love us to wear the anniversary one with the striped socks.

You ever think of a player and just picture them mentally in one specific kit?

For example - for me, it’s….

Henry Smith - luminous tiger print top

John Colquhoun - 88 v neck home shirt

Kenny Black - silver 85/86 away top

Osman Sow - FOH away

Colin Cameron - white cup final away top

maybe just me 👀

It looks better, we're now officially into our 150th year and our colours are maroon and white. No reason not to. Get the naff pink thing in the bin!!!!

I mean look at it ffs 😍 Thing of beauty!! Time to finish 3rd in style :P

I hope people look at the actual cost before bidding so they aren’t caught out

I like the Pink kit and the White kit a lot. The white kit is a throwback in the best way and the pink kit is a really fun and vibrant color. I see why a lot of people like one or the other, I think both are great.

I assume that the third kit will be kept around next season as the second kit does its annual transition. The third kit deserves to be around all of 2024, and the white kit being taken care of means they could go with another bold second kit.

They are based in Holland as well, so as far as I am aware they ship the shirts away then back to the UK - so potentially import tax as well.

They offer a framing service (which is pretty pricey) and with the shirt being framed it is never sneaking through the post without a beefy import tax on top.

The 20% VAT used to be included in the bid price and now it's not, probably because they now charge a further 10% "buyers premium" which is also subject to VAT.   Thing is, they don't make any of this very clear.

It used to be bid price (inc VAT) plus postage. Now it's bid price, plus 10%, plus VAT, plus postage.

I cant say for certain but I think you have to declare which strip you will wear early in the season, we’ve worn the pink one twice at Dens now for example.

The pink kit is ****ing quality.  It's even better beating teams in it because you  know it will cause some ridiculous foaming at the mouth from supporters who associate the colour with a certain way of life.

The third kit, however, should be priotisied this season above all.  I wouldn't even mind us wearing it at home instead of the maroon kit. It has a special significance given the anniversary of the club, and it's an absolutely outstanding kit. We should be wearing it in as many games as possible.

Where I'm at.

As boring as it sounds I have checked (apologies if I am wrong anywhere).

We have worn the pink kit 3 times -

Lost at Dundee

Won at Livingston

Won at Dundee

The white third kit we have worn 4 times -

Lost to Rosenborg.

Won at Ross County.

Won at Motherwell.

Lost at Aberdeen.

To be fair it isn't a bad record for either kit considering our away records for decades.

Historicaly I don't think we won a game in our yellow Pony kit 96/97, I don't think we won a game in the Rosebery kit and had we not worn the FOH kit at Tynecastle a couple of times we wouldn't have registered a win in that. Did we win a game in the 2019 -21 black 3rd kit?

The only kit I know we won 100% of our games in was the white Pony 3rd kit worn at Falkirk and Raith season 95/96. We only wore it 2 games.

Can we blame the strips if we Hibsit by losing 3rd spot?

Similar to X Factor in that you get the public to vote for the thing they like best before commodifying that popular thing.

Marketing 101

Hearts supporters voting, have you seen the Kickback poles? We'd have a new manager every 6-8 weeks. And a public vote, the supporters for all the other teams would have us in green.

Personally really like the pink kit and keeping the white as the 3rd kit makes it its own sort of thing. We’ll keep it for 2 years aswell, know it sounds daft but feel like having the same “away” for 2 years would seem strange nowadays where having the 3rd for 2 years seems to be the norm
