So that-

1. asylum seekers can get a council flat.

2. I can keep paying 42% tax

3. I can pay extortionate council tax

4. I can pay £550 Road tax and drive on pot hole ridden streets.

You get the picture, may be Putin taking over wouldn’t be any worse than it currently is in the UK.

Don’t even get me started on our Governments giving out tax money away to other countries prior to fixing issues at home.

I really hate living in the UK and can’t wait to retire and leave.

Vehicle Excise Duty.

Old Winnie ditched Road Tax in 1926 "as he didn't want motorists to think a token payment gave them “ownership” of the road.".

He should have hung around for a read of the Edinburgh Roads thread on here.

they may be thinking ahead to the very near future. Everybody should understand that if Trump were to win the US election he would most definitely remove the US from NATO, and that would be disastrous for Britain, Europe, and the world. The US is NATO, if they weren't involved Ukraine would have fallen long ago for just one thing.

If they weren't in NATO Putin would have a free hand in Europe and he would grasp it. It's no exaggeration to say that the entire international order would collapse if Trump were elected then handed out do what you like cards to every dictator who said nice things about him. They all know that's all you need to do to get anything you want from the simpleton.

I don't think Trump will win a US election but if he did the world order as we know it will quickly end. Such sudden shifts in the balance of power never end well. There's a  reason Putin wants the US out of NATO, and it's not because he's dumb like Trump.

Can't disagree with any of that. Pretty terrifying how uncertain things are because of that seditious *****.

£750,000

That's peanuts compared to the £2.6 billion Sunak has sent to the Ukraine this month.

The outrageous is the amount of money that Sunak has given.

Just clearing that up.

Outrageous in that he should have given a more substantial amount of money, rather than a piddling £750,000?

Just to make it clearer. You think Rishi Sunak the United Kingdom Prime Minister is an 'arsehole' for sending Great British Pounds to try to save another sovereign country from communist invaders? Please enlighten us?

Wonder what the Ukrainians would have done with any Scottish bawbees sent to them. Used them as fire starters perhaps?

You were right the first time. Rishi was right to send so much Great British Pounds.

If he's totally serious about it then the Royal Conservatoire is the way to go. Not just the training but the contacts that you make for the rest of your career. I know people who have studied drama down south and then move back to Scotland and realise they don't know anyone and are out of the loop. Also if he hasn't done it already get on board with a good youth theatre. Strangetown are excellent and do full scale shows in proper theatres, also the Lyceum Youth Theatre. I recommend those as the people that run them are real theatre professionals with careers. A lot of places that set themselves up as theatre or dance training are purely commercial ventures run by charlatans that teach the kids nothing as they don't know much themselves, Strangetown and LYT are proper arts organisations funded by Creative Scotland (replaced the Arts Council).

My Niece has been involved with dance at the Royal Conservatoire. Terrific place. I second its the way to go.
