I'd be declaring a mayday if I had to land in that shithole, TBF.

Climbing up to 21ft so I'm suggesting it's going to Ireland or Manchester

For all the world it looks like it's en route to DUB.

DUB-EDI (FR848) might be about to have a go.

This is bonkers. There are red warnings in place from 0100 to 0500 and they keep firing planes towards Edinburgh.

Definitely on the same flight path as to Dublin.

Utter crazy

Fun begins again in 5 mins with b38m Dublin to Edinburgh.

Dont think Edinburgh had had this much exposure on flights ever for flight tracking

It sounds like it’s getting worse outside. I’m glad I strapped my wheelie bins to the house now.

But now STN-EDI (RK406) looks like it's lining up an attempt.

Our neighbours' wheelie bin has flipped open. Oh the humanity.

Mate mine were both lifted over a 4ft high wall and blown up the street earlier so I had to retrieve them and attach them to a down pipe.

And back for another go.

I think these pilots are seeing Tazio's bins tied to his downpipe, thinking "WTAF?", and chickening out.  Just putting that out there.  :runaway:

And Belfast is next up after that, with Sofia not that far behind.

I'd like to know what it's at now.  It's almost closer to Shannon than Dublin.

I’ve got to admit if I was getting a flight to Edinburgh to start work on Monday and I got diverted to Cologne and they told me it would be late Monday or Tuesday morning before I could get to Edinburgh I wouldn’t be heartbroken.

True.  I wonder how the people on that Stansted flight will feel about (a) being told they're diverting to Dublin and (b) actually landing in Shannon?

Brother's flight from Madrid touched down in Edinburgh ok last night. Though he had to wait 2 hours to get off the plane while they got the stairs sorted.

He said the turbulence was rough

That's the worst wind I've experienced in the 12 years I've been in my flat. Was like sitting on a boat, bouncing around the place.

A1 was a death trap this morning.

Couple of the big green road signs down, new build development signage down and close to blowing onto the road.

Worst wind I've heard in a long long time. Had to put ear plugs in.
