Good luck with that. I just saw a tweet about a Dublin Manchester plane that has been diverted mid flight to Paris.

I’m hoping take off isn’t as bad as landing when it’s windy 🙈🙈

A plane just flew over my house going in to land at Edinburgh, so there's definitely still some on the move.

Yeah I've seen footage of planes landing in high winds and it looks sketchy af, taking off though, I reckon wouldn't be as bad. Not as much precision involved.

I'm basing this on flying in video games so don't quote me on that.

If you get here it's Marshalls in Las Americas for the Dundee game and Wotherspoons in El Duque for the Aberdeen game.

It’s pretty wild here in South West Oxfordshire. Tiles are rattling hard. Hope I don’t lose any.

Absolutely wild out there. My outdoor chairs are all flattened down with weights on them to try and pin them down and they are still getting launched around.

Must be a nightmare. Seen one on that flight tracker thingy. Flight from Paris to Dublin, no chance, tried to land Belfast, nope, diverted back to Paris.

Jeez !

My living room window has been creaking quite alarmingly. Luckily I can only hear it when the wheelie bins stop banging off the wall.

Just heard a loud bang from the front garden. Both of my wheelie bins which sit against a 4ft high wall had been blown straight in the air and were blowing up the street. So I had to retrieve them and could barely drag them back. Now I’m looking for something to tie them down.
It’s absolutely wild outside now.

Grim.

I lost quite a few ridge tiles during the high winds 2 days after Xmas. Roofer is booked but obviously can't work in these conditions.

Neighbour at bottom of garden has just lost a few of their ridge tiles and quite a few lying in my garden.

Just looking at Flightradar there. Alicante to Leeds tried to land twice and now looks to be off to Glasgow. Tenerife to Edinburgh tried to land once and looks like it is headed to Manchester now.

So this is the wall that the wheelie bins were blown over. They were sitting tight against it so must have been blown straight up in the air. Oddly they’re both now empty so Christ knows where the contents are. Both now attached firmly to the main down pipe on the front of the house with a very strong steel wire and a bike lock. It’s as windy as I can remember and certainly the first time in 8 years in this house the bins have ever been blown away.

The Birmingham to Edinburgh flight looks to have landed. Was watching it on flight radar and it went from 1,300 feet to 0 feet 😅 assuming that really didn't happen.

Quite a few flights to Dublin diverted.  I'm about 20 km away, and it's a bit windy.  As in, I've seen a lot worse around here.

3 successful landings in a row since @theshed's plane decided to head to Amsterdam instead of settling into Edinburgh for the night.

They’ve just updated the wind warning for north Scotland to red. That’s 100mph.
