Would take a draw

Our defence gives me the fear at times

Dundee Utd showed on Sat - get in the opposition faces and shoot early. We are always looking for a pass or a teammate when in a decent position

I said pre Dundee Utd 4 points minimum required from the next 2 games but I was assuming that we would beat United. Very tall order now to reach that tally. Pretty poor when you look at our budget compared to both these clubs. Still clinging on in the hope we can sneak a win against Saints.

Mckay has been rotten for a while. Had we had a decent backup he'd have been dropped by now.

I think the negative energy with the injuries to key players will see us comfortably defeated 2-0.

My positivity negates your negative energy.

3-1 in favour of a positive Hearts performance .

We have better players - despite injuries.

They have been playing well (for them) and are at home.

Against United - we had 67% of possession and managed only 3 shots on target.

If we are motivated enough to go for a win, we probably will.

I have absolutely no confidence that we will win this or any away game - and it has been that way for a long time.

Pretty much what I would have expect Cochrane where halliday is and Smith in a cb position.

We're Good enough to beat St Johnstone even with a few players out.

This has been a theme for a while. We do not open teams up enough and we definitely do not work opposition GKs enough.

Sums things up quite well I think.     Our ability to get a decent percentage of shots on target in a game has been a problem for years.     Craig's serious injury on Saturday ought to fire our players up to have the drive & motivation needed to impose ourselves on the opposition.

Mind you, the St. J players might also be motivated to put their former star keeper under as much pressure as possible, and our defence has seldom looked rock-solid this season.

Look we should win against St J but that is always the case.

Fans going to the game will expect us to.

Despite this I’m not overly convinced.

Gino

I'd be happy with that 11.

In my opinion we should always play a back 4 with defenders in natural positions. But he will prob do what he usually does!

So, this Craig Nielson, anyone got any stats on his managerial skills? Or should we contact good old GBC Scotland for the details? After all, they get most things right don’t they? Guys? Guys? Anyone?

If he's anything like Craig Nelson he won't be a safe pair of hands that's for sure.

I’m going for  a 1-2 for us in Perth and think we’ll line up 4-3-1-2

I don’t see us getting anything from this game, they’re playing well (Celtic aside) and we are shocking in Perth I don’t see it changing.

Their form has been very good recentl, so I'll be happy to get any kind of positive result. We should be looking to win, but nowhere near a stick on.

Would also play this team. Can’t have fullbacks playing centrehalf for this one.

2nd lot of hammerthrowers in a week is concerning. Them and Utd kick first think later. Hoping for a referee that isn’t clueless and doesn’t clear the way for more injuries to occur. Fletcher should have been off the pitch before the CG incident. The concern for me is that since VAR has come in, the refs have undeniably got a lot worse and seem to have zero control of matches.

Even with the injury list as long as it is, we still have a far better side that StJ but we also have a honkin record up there so a draw is my prediction.

Watching Match of the Day was interested to hear VAR down there will only look at incidents that `jump out at them`.  Sounds much more sensible.  Here, it's the VAR who appears to actually be reffing the match from a remote location, telling the guy on the pitch what to do.

Typical SFA approach.  Amateur hour.

I have it on good authority that Robbie and the kitman have looked out suitable footwear for this match.

Fletchers goal on Sat is a good example of dont shoot, cant score. We are shot shy for sure and our central midfielders, generally, cant hit a barn door from 18yds.
