The chap is correct though, they are a bunch of freaky loony-bins.

Not as bad as the loonies who idolise these parasites.

Seemed to be more interest in the RAF planes than the King of England. I've no interest in either though.

Dunno if this is true but the guy on TV says that the Scottish Government is footing the bill for the whole carry on today.

Ach well at least the tourists and a few dozen royalist weirdos had a good day.

It's like the annual taxi outing, it's a good thing to give those less fortunate a wee treat.

Take away the tourists and the streets would have been empty.

Apparently only a fraction of the crowds they expected.

The King of England doesn't have great crowd pulling potential in Scotland🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

He'll be glad that Scotland is a forward thinking country where the authorities don't look to stifle protest. Hope he enjoyed his visit.

Statistically speaking those that worship the royal family are from groups that are less well-educated.

I've read the same thing about people who worship a god.

I've no clue where those supposed stats come from, or how accurate they are.

Are Hearts fans who rely on the state also parasites?

I've a self imposed lifetime guarantee that anybody who believes in a God is automatically a wee bit less intelligent than me, regardless of who they are or what they have achieved.

Good question, one which the person will not be able, or prepared, to answer.

I personally think that he/she throws the word ‘parasite’ about far too freely on this thread.

The old town looks amazing and events like this put Edinburgh on the world map as a tourist destination. As an example of the benefit to the local economy a friend was quoted £295 for one night in the Premier Inn on Monday - he ended up paying half of that out of town. I have some regrets that Edinburgh seems to put tourists ahead of locals but that's how it has developed and no point me or anyone else spoiling it for everyone else. If you don't like it similar to watching Hearts then just stay away. Booing adds nothing to any debate.

Exatcly. Alternatively, how many have had the state pay off an underage girl, who they trafficked and raped.

How many keep in correspondence with a padoephile, who's locked up in jail for child offences?

The only weird people are those that support this gangster family, are up of sexual offenders and deviants.

Why is it ridiculous? Both in question receive money from the state.

Is it to do with the amount? What is the point at which one becomes a parasite?

Receiving money from the state warrants dehumanising language does it?

Yeah but you've ranted on this subject before.

Calling the hyper privileged royal family parasitical is fair enough, they are.

Definitely, the royal family don't need to take another penny to live comfortably for the rest of their days. The needy of this land, not so.

Sure, aye.

Do enlighten me on my rant. I dont  believe I have.

Perhaps you can answer, at what monetary level does one become a parasite?

Fair enough, perhaps the poster I originally quoted will be kind enough to tell us what amount of money from the state makes a person a parasite.

Anyway its becoming obvious that Royal parades do not excite the locals in Scotland.

If you take away all the curious tourists lining the streets there would have been enough locals to form a decent sized bus queue.😂

That’s right - the “English” monarchy (wait, what?  Not German? Not Greek?) foisted on a republican-to-its-bones Scotland that had never had a monarchy of its own?

I presume that palace at the bottom of the …. erm - Royal Mile was built by Thatcher and the Honours of Scotland were created for our ancient presidents?

Being anti-monarchy is a perfectly legitimate POV.   Pretending that monarchy is something imposed on us by the English is not.

I so much agree with this post.

The gentleman you are targeting with it though is so much faux wrapped in tartan that no words will change this act.

Englands royal family?  I really do despair.

Who said imposed. Only you. Scotland lost its monarchy years ago. Pretending hes not the king of England says more about you.

Oh and it's pretty embarrassing bowing to anyone. Embarrassing!

When the king is crowned in Scotland,  then we'll have our monarchy back, though I'd rather have an elected HoS.

But again, weirdo scots bowing to the king of England,  says it all about their treasonous behaviour of 2014. And they will pay a heavy price when the tome comes.

Tartan, really. The Scottish cringe runs through your wannabe English blood. If you love their king so much, go to London,  then you can be a refugee and be sent to Rwanda.  It'll save me a seat on my bus for one if your like.
