*****Official Dundee v Hearts Match Day Thread*****

Scumdee will be treating this like their cup final, witness their celebrations in the 1-1 game. Think Robbie should beef up the midfield with McEniff so we dont get over run and he may have a goal in him. I feel Boyce owes us an extra push too, after his misses v the huns. Hoping for a dominant performance. Last time I was up there we gubbed them 3-0 with Naismith and MacLean running riot. More of the same please!

I mind that. Truly a wtf moment when he stood up to take it.  Don’t think I went back to that pit much since then. Least favourite away day and that’s nowt to do with 86 just a depressing hole

and it's at the top of that feckin' hill - the hike up that usually ruins the nice buzz from an hour or so drinking train cans

Dundee will start this game fast and in our faces.  We simply can't start slowly as we have done in most away games this season.    If we get stuck in from first whistle we can win this comfortably 2-0

Do you mean like the last time when Naismith was assaulted after about 20 seconds.

Should have been a straight red but the ref bottled it

We owe this crowd big time for two well documented reasons.  As long as the players aren't dispirited after losing in such a heartbreaking fashion last week, we'll beat them 3-0.

There’s a pub up the top of that hill, admittedly though not a very good one, but you get a laugh with the locals - if you can understand what they’re saying.....

Just please no Halliday. Any combo of Haring, Devlin, and McEneff will do fine.

I'd like to say any win will do but truth be told I hope a lot our goal shy attackers get the yips out of their systems on this one and we have a good old fashioned rout.

With Beni and Smith injured and Gino suspended we really don't have much choice with the line-up. Just shows how small our squad is all of a sudden.

Na, 3-0 Hearts, Boyce hat-trick, everyone to moan cos the first was a penalty, the second he took too long to shoot and the third the keeper nearly got to it.

GMS with 2 asists, but 4/10 on the player ratings thread cos he "looks a bit poofy"

Someone never said that did they...

Ffs, the guy could be gay, why would that matter?

Is Beni fit? I wouldn't be dropping Haring, he has been fantastic in the last three games.

Beni is out until nearer the Hibs game according to Robbie.

We have not done well at Dens  cant see us winning this game will be like the Motherwell game Graig Gordon to keep the score respectable

It’s a new dawn brother. A bright light is shining.

Probably go with the same XI the start v Rangers.

Gino out as suspended. Be interesting to see who replaces him.

Cheers Matty. 👍

Believe Robbie at your peril more likely won't see him till March, remember he joked about the injury after game he went off, Robbie is about as funny as Michael McIntyre.

Really want to hammer this lot good and proper. Think we just might too. Play the way we played against Rangers and we will.

3-4-1-2 for me.

Gordon

Souttar Halkett Kingsley

Smith Haring Devlin Cochrane

Mceneff

Boyce McKay

Think we need 3 midfielders having. I would also play McKay up top or at least closer to boyce where he can play him in/have a more positive effect.

Collum is ref this weekend.

He does have brain farts, and we does it's a doozy, but in general he's OK imo.

I reckon he's now by a distance- the best.

That's what I'd go for. Think we need to keep with a back 3

Except when we play the green arse cheek.

Shows how poor the standard is if Collum is even considered as one of the best

Just seen on twitter that Dundee are waiting on PCR results has someone in their bubble was a close contact.

Seen that, hopefully they are effected by isolations but not to the point that the game is called off

Uh, oh. Apparently they have a long injury list. This 'potential covid outbreak' could be a Hibs-type ruse to get the match off.

He's been OK v them as well Tbh.

Improved a lot  from 5/6 years ago, but even then his brain farts were spread across other games.

He also has less doozies now.

Dundee 1 Heart of Midlothian 3.

Boycie from the spot in the 1st half, Boycie from open play early in the second half then a 3rd from GMS.

Cummings off the bench to score for them but we hold on comfortably in front of a large and noisy Hearts support.

Dundee 0 Heart of Midlothian 3, in light of Cummings complete absence.

He was the only reason I credited them with a goal.

Strangely Dundee have always been a bogey team to Hearts throughout  my life , anyway if you’re going give them a ‘Mon the Hearts for me at kick off 👍🏻🇱🇻🇱🇻🇱🇻🇱🇻

Same here.

Although that long ago I can remember the whole day as if it was yesterday.

Maybe not the night time though. 😏.

Been back a few times but still absolutely hate the place.

Haring has played well recently but still doesn’t look as mobile as he was when he arrived.
