I’d prefer us to go with an extra man in midfield and McKay and Boyce up front. Stick with the back 3 and play McEneff and Devlin close together with Haring a wee bit deeper. 3-5-2. Would stick with Gordon in goals, he’s doing no bad for an auld guy.

Edit: get the title changed to the official match day thread.

Need to press there back 5 as there all shit when they have no time on the ball so play 3-4-3.

Win the midfield and keep Kent from coming inside and we will win.

HMFC THE TEAM FOR ME

Would of been ideal to have Beni, back for this game. But would prefer a 3 in the centre either way. 4-3-3 in attack. 4-5-1 in defence.

                     Gordon

  Moore. Souttar. Halkett. Kingsley.

   Gino  Devlin Haring Mceneff.  McKay

                       Boyce.

I would like to see a front 2 of Boyce and Gino with Barrie Mckay playing in a free role behind them when we have the ball.

Out of possession Barrie could drop back in along side Devlin and Harring with Cochrane on the left and Smith or Moore on the right.

This would give us numbers in the centre of midfield aswell as in the wide area's with our usual back 3 of Souttar, Halkett and Kingsley.

Gordon

Souttar

Halkett

Kingsley

Cochrane

Devlin

Haring

Smith or Moore

Mckay

Boyce

Ginnelly

I reckon Rangers will go 4-3-3 so we will need 3 men in midfield imo.

Smith in for Moore and that’s the side. I like Moore but we need experience in a game like this.

Not sure McEneff ready to face Rangers, we will see. Benny is a massive miss.

We don’t have too many options. If we start with two centre mids, the obvious tactic for der hun is to push our wing backs back and then overrun the midfield. We need an extra man in the middle or Gordon will have a busy time of it.

Keep Rangers full backs occupied and in their own half

6 to defend against their attacks

Time for Woodburn to step up. I thought about McAneff but let’s have a go at them!!

I think we need a solid midfield so opting for Smith instead of McEneff. Halliday the only other option but I am not a fan.

We need a real attacking threat and with that defence and midfield, the front three would have free rein to go for it without worrying about defending.

I would keep McEneff in tbh, but like the team otherwise. I think if you try and contain the OF they will hurt you. Getting our best attacking players on the field and having a go of it would be what I would like to see.

I knew Beni was out for two games , i did say that he may be out for the next two.

Not heard much lately, i haven't saw anything yet to say he is definitely out.

Only a race to be fit headline.

Took the liberty of starting this.

I reckon we can win, but it will be close.

Don't know what to expect from Der Hun, dunno how GvB's team has been playing, and whether they're getting a new manager bounce, or still in the Slippy G afterglow.

Hoping for a raucous Tynie, and a hard-fought win. Desperate for Cammy D to score the winner too!

Maybe a 442 this game I feel we could cancel out a lot of their play, close them down better..

Beni still out as far as I'm aware, so need Haring alongside Devlin in CM and I'd go with a 3 in there, with McEneff, basically the formation that played the second half against Livi.

                        Gordon

        Souttar    Halkett    Kingsley

Moore   McEneff   Haring   Devlin  Cochrane

                  Boyce    McKay

When we are in possession, McEneff to push forward on the right side of attack effectively giving us a front three with Moore and Cochrane pushing forward on the flanks and Haring and Devlin holding the fort in the middle of the park.

I thought McEneff and Moore combined very well on the right flank in the second half at Livi.

At home, big game, we tend to be up for them. Bit like Scotland that way.

Devlin just does not seem like a goal scorer at all unfortunately. I reckon Haring has more chance of a goal

I'm sure he got a couple in the A-League, strikes me as a 1 or 2 goal every couple of seasons type. He (and Beni) has been in good goal scoring positions a few times, but opted to pass.

Edit: just checked Wikipedia, it records a whopping 3 (three) goals for Cammy D in almost 80 senior games. No reason he can't make it 4 on Sunday!

I wouldn't call it confidence.

If we play a stable starting 11 , we have a chance. Seems i was out in my starting 11, i put in Beni as i hadn't read through  a headline  Race to be fit.

So i have read it and i see Robbie has ruled him out. Would be delighted to get the win. Ecstatic.

A gut feeling  .

They are nothing special, we are doing well at home, clubs in Europe midweek tend to perform poorly after it, there will be far fewer of their vile fans in the stadium to back them…I think there will be a few goals in it for us in a memorable victory.
Really looking forward to this game, Barrie McKay with a brace.

I believe we can beat anyone at Tynecastle.  It will be the hardest test yet but why not ?

2-1 Hearts.  Full house and 2 sections for the Neanderthals will be a huge factor as long as we don’t lose an early goal.

Boyce will be huge - hopefully he makes this

Shitebag defending a lead thoughts Captain 👎🏻   we are pumping these by at least 3 ,they might get the obligatory penalty from their ref gods ? but the three on top from Boyce 2 and a couple from our star forward running defenders, one being slightly dodgy ,is going to bring the press shouting for VAR, thank me later 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻.    🤞🏻

Is this not a 2 man midfield of Haring and Devlin? I think Rangers have been playing a 4-2-3-1 under Gio, was a 4-3-3 under Gerrard ...

Not going to underestimate Glasgow Rangers, not one ounce but we are more than capable of proving them wrong as deep down I reckon they could be underestimating us, I'll always be marginally cautious with predictions so my 3 weekend results are

Heart of Midlothian 2 v 0 Glasgow Rangers

Heart of Midlothian 2 v 1 Glasgow Rangers

Heart of Midlothian 1 v 1 Glasgow Rangers with the latter prediction unfortunately not being no use to anyone.

Positivity from The Mack' Camp let's av' it

We've not been at our best in the last 4 games, hopefully this is the type of game to galvanise the team, anything except a defeat would be a good result.

Boyce is scoring.  I fancy Mckay to have another go at it.   Ginnelly needs a goal so this match would be aces :2thumbsup:

Could be a great match this.    So long as the officials don't spoil it.

3-2 Hearts.

Looking forward to this.   I won't be disappointed with a draw.  Even a well fought out 0-0.

Don't know if I am but I'm confident.  We have been dominant at home and could have won every game so far.

On telly here.  Can't wait.
