One thing’s for certain. Brown will commit 20+ fouls and won’t receive a booking. It’s written into the rules I think

I agree with RN that we are playing better now than we were at the start of the season.  I also think having a strong squad will allow us to cope better with three games in a week.  Quietly confident about this one.

We’re creating plenty chances, it’s going to click at some point.  Hopefully see Cochrane and Boyce come back in, also think Moore deserve to come in for Halkett.

These are the changes I'd like to see as well.

Reckon the team will be

                  Boyce*

    McKay                    Gino

             Beni   Cammy

Cochrane                    M. Smith

    Kingsley Halkett  Souttar

                  Gordon

*Gnando for Boyce if Boyce isn't fit

Gino deserves to keep his place.

Can't see Neilson dropping Halkett. Cochrane back in for Halliday.

With all this rain , wouldn’t mind betting the game being called off...

Has it been as bad up there? The news said worst affected was central and south Scotland.

We had the beating of Aberdeen at Tynie until they brought on that big Emanuel Thomas or “Jet” that they got from Livingston.
Hearts have added Devlin and McKay since then,

Head says draw,  heart hoping for a 2-0 victory.

It was also Beni's and Woodburn's first game.

Added Moore as well.

Two weeks ago this would probably have been a comfortable victory for Hearts

Things have changed and Aberdeen are more than likely a different animal now

A draw at this point looks the likely and probably a decent result

Don't think Robbie helped by reverting to a back four either inviting them to come at us more.

I don't think Boyce is fit enough yet.

The right personnel for me but possibly one minor alteration. I didn't think that McKay looked as effective on the left against Saints as he has been on the right but Ginnelly on the left and cutting in has apparent potential. Switching permitted, of course - recommended even!

2-0 Hearts. I have a good feeling about this for some reason especially as they are patched up at the back just now.

Not necessarily a bad thing that Aberdeen have had a couple of decent results. Playing a bit of counter attacking football might suit us. Hope Ginnelly keeps his place for that reason.

Really hope Naismith isn't in Devlin's ear telling him to get stuck into Brown. Just ignore him and play your own game would be my advice. Last thing we need is a red card.

Good post. :icon14:

He will goad either Beni or  Devlin into a red card. Big test for the young guys. Can they stay composed in the face of his antics.

I think Beni will be fine, but Devlin could be a concern. I think he should try and tone things down a little anyway, particularly when it comes to daft bookings and some of his niggling and wind-ups, but having Piltdown Man on his case throughout the game will be a big test.

Quite sad you have to worry about the safety of your players. Worst example of that coward was the Cochrane revenge and then in the same game he went after Djoum, who only survived through his quick reactions. ****ing sickening.

First thing I ask is for us to score first.

Then not sit back but go for a second.
All assuming our first goal isn’t in the last 15 mins.

Mackay-Steven? Can’t agree with him starting. He’s not tough or strong enough.
Maybe a home game against lesser opponent should be his next start. JMO

I can see Brown- Devlin battle being a good one. Hopefully Devlin will niggle away at him but  keep his composure, Brown is a master wind up merchant on the pitch so a good test for Devlin. Looking forward to the game,

2-3

Brown a thug but,  he’s not as reactive as Adams was last week.  Brown will wait his time and make the assault when the referees eyes are elsewhere.  That’s the only time you can credit him and his brain cell.

I don’t think you should give him any credit for being a chicken shit ***** who goes around kicking big hard guys like Harry Cochrane and Neymar but never goes near guys like Haring. I’ve never seen him go into a 50/50 against a bigger player.

Squad rotation is important to keep everyone on their toes and motivated. I can see GMS starting partly for rotation but also because he has history with the Dons. They might be in the mindset of "it's just like the thing/script written for GMS to score". Might give him a wee edge too.

Ginnelly has also played himself in by scoring against StJ, whilst McKay had a poor game by his standards. For the same reason, Moore might come in for Halkett and Cochrane (surely) for Halliday....(although that might be a step too far for RN. If Boyce is still injured, methinks the team will be:

                                                  Gordon

                         Soutar               Moore             Kingsley

          Smith                   Beni                  Devlin               Cochrane

                         Ginnelly             Gnando             GMS

Maybe not now that he isn’t wearing green and white hoops. Didn’t endear himself to the lodge-based refs on Wednesday night.

Bannockburn. Was never on the cards.

Bookies stopped taking odds on an away win.

3 rules of war  are apparently-

They have to be  ( don't laugh..)

1.Winnable

2. Legal

3.Forget the other one, I think it may be "just".

Bannockburn was a battle!

We lost the war that is why Engerlund still rules us. ( or part of the reason, the other is we are a nation of shite bags.😁

Hearts need to up things.

Control of games is there but they need to do more with it to make it count.

Drift around or make a statement.

We played a bit narrower up front towards the end of last season. Think it was Boyce in a ten role and Henderson and GMS in front of him. It worked quite well but could work way better with the three you suggested.
