How can they sign anyone when they are a billion euros in debt. It should not be allowed. They should be banned from Europe.

Also Benzemas first was a clear foul on the keeper. I’ve no idea what VAR does.

He didn't even touch him. There was a very definitive angle from behind the line which showed Donnarruma swiping at the ball and losing balance.

I don’t know what your watching but Benzema clearly barges him which makes Donnarumma miskick

Right, you don’t like Real Madrid.

Got it.  👍

Benzema never laid a finger on the goalie. You know it, and I know it.

You've perhaps got no idea what VAR does but, you’ve also got no idea what you are talking about.

If I had a clue how to post pictures I would.

I hate PSG as well and what the CL and VAR do is make me hate football.

PSG, join the Real Madrid, Barcelona European Old Firm as far as I am concerned.

Delighted to see PSG go out.

Honestly hope I never see PSG or Man City win the CL. 😁

Same here but are you happy to see a disease like Real win it?

As brilliant as Real and Benzema were, PSG blew that big time.

It wont matter as I can't see past Bayern or City for the CL anyway.

Keep your ‘disease’ stuff to yourself, will you?

If you want to discuss ‘diseased’ football clubs, look no further than Paris Saint Germain.  👍

Yep I can’t stand PSG - I like Mbappe though.

But I also can’t stand Real, there’s no getting away from it they are a disease. They are an OF equivalent but probably worse (out-with the religious nonsense).

A club 1 billion euros in debt but allowed to function as though nothing is going on.

So, you hate the club?  Not the city?

Do you like Barcelona?  The club, not the city?

I like Mbappe too, btw. I watched him from an early age (16 or 17 I think) at Monaco.  He’s a fantastic player.

You want a genuine OF equivalent...look at FC Sherriff, the wonderful underdog story of this season's CL.

I can't stand Madrid but you do know their valuation is about 5 billion euros?

I actually have been to both Barcelona and Madrid. Liked them both - like Madrid a lot more than I expected too.

As for the clubs I can’t stand Real.

I liked Barcelona growing up - loved Xavi and Iniesta and public image and romance associated with them.

However, you grow up and learn. Both Real and Barcelona have had far too much protection from the Spanish government and La Liga to determent of everyone else. I was glad Barcelona were forced to let Messi go, that’s what should happen when you afford players. How they didn’t get a pip at deduction or sanctions i don’t know.

It’s not part of sport however - or certainly shouldn’t be.

They, Barca and Juve are in a mess - pursuing the super league because they are on the verge of going bust due to overspending.

I’ve lived in both cities, Larry.

Madrid for only three and a bit months, Barcelona for 11 months.

Barca fans are right up themselves, Real Madrid fans?  Not even close to that.

I like Real Madrid.  I hate FC Barcelona.

I bid you goodnight.

Their short term debt is manageable as is the same with Madrid. It's no shock those clubs were in favour of a league that increased revenue streams substantially. I'll agree keeping Messi on his salary certainly wasn't.

Not a lot of point playing swashbuckling football if as Glen Odel says "they defend like schoolboys, schoolboys that have never played football before".

There's a lesson in there for a few of the wombats on here.

Sport is a business, whether we like it or not. And businesses run on debt.

They are gargantuan clubs with incredibly passionate supports. They also have the brains to both work together on certain issues. I favour Barca and have found certain Madridista fans utter intolerable wankers to be honest 🤣

I don’t see how it’s manageable if it keeps increasing.

I can’t believe anyone can defend any super clubs.

It’s like defending the OF.

I mean out of them all Bayern are probably most defendable but even then I know Germans think they get preferential treatment.

Reminds me of an old song we sang on the terraces in the old days 🤔

But when someone says that a certain football club isn't operating within their means then they are talking about 90% of people and businesses in existence. 'In the good old days if we wanted to buy something we saved up for it'.

That’s my point though - the fact football is seen as much as business as sport these days is what’s fundamentally wrong.

Were you happy when we were racking up debt under Vlad? Did you think it was right? Do you want us to do it again?

Sport should have completely different rules and laws to other ‘businesses’.

I was when we were winning on the park. Wouldn't necessarily want us to do it again, but it was worth it all. I certainly don't think it made any of the trophies we won under his control illegitimate.

Football has never been about turning a profit. Your own argument about football being too much about business falls down when you suggest that only clubs living within their means should be allowed to win things.
