He'll be looking for the best deal financially and football wise and maybe Hearts are not prepared or cannot offer him what he wants in this regard. Halliday, Haring even walker would be ideal for us if they were happy to play second fiddle. We could get real quality in the first 15-18, safe in the knowledge we have decent, sold cover, unfortunately players may want different things and have other options. Think he is looking at his next deal as being his last decent one and I also heard he would prefer to be playing in Germany or Austria. Gutted for Beni. He's such a top lad and seems a great pro and positive boy, I'm sure he'll come back stronger. Club will look after him well. Looking for positives, it's a long time since we could lose such a strong player and be OK. We badly need Cam back, but if he is back, he and Haring did very well together in midfield in their run together Nov-Dec. We have Toby, too. Smith has never let us down in midfield either.
