Delighted with a home tie against East Fife 👍

It should be one of the candidates for the televised game, along with games at Beith, Brechin, Fraserburgh, Musselburgh, Pollok and Tranent.

I'd like to see the Mussy game covered, but the quality of floodlights may come into the equation.

Always good to see Auchinleck knocked out early.

Just catching up on the scores, amazing result for the Saints

It actually wasn't a massive shock (although still a great achievement for St. Andrews). Auchinleck aren't the same force this year that they have been for several years. Bottom of the league after 8 games.

Still adapting

Just let go the lowland league top scorer last season, Liam Buchanan. He’s on 9 already this season too. Must be struggling!

No one yet. He was just released out of the blue according to his twitter post. I’m sure he’ll be picked up quickly by another LL team with a bit of cash.

Giant killers this round:

Cumnock 2-1 v Turriff (not really a surprise)

Broxburn 1-0 @ Deveronvale

Dunbar 1-0 v East Fife

Jeanfield 6-0 v Elgin (surprising scoreline if not result)

Pollok 5-2 v Gala Fairydean Rovers

Brora 2-0 @ Stenhousemuir

Performance of the day. Tranent's 7-0 demolition of East Kilbride.

Some result, real surprise.

EK have been really dominant in the Lowland League.

Good to see the Brox through.

Jeanfield Swifts’ 6-0 win over Elgin was apparently the biggest Scottish Cup win by a team from outwith the senior leagues over a senior team since 1896.

The biggest "non league" winner over a league side was 8-1 by Queen's Park v  Port Glasgow.  For some reason QP wasn't a league side in that season.

They're a decent side. They beat us at Dunbar 1-3. Very good midfield to front and quick in the transition.

Best team we've played this season.

I hope Musselburgh get through tonight too 👍

Jeanfield are a senior team in a senior league (East of Scotland League).

When League football started Queen's Park refused to join as the other teams were all professional. Their amateur status was only given up recently (2019) but they did deign to join the League set up eventually (1900). I'd guess they ran out of opponents for friendlies and were not doing so well in the Scottish Cup - their last win was in 1893.

As such, Queens thumping a league team while non-league was not considered such a big shock. They also beat Celtic one year in the 1890s so Celtic have lost to a non-league team in their history 😁.

East Kilbride win again

I was at the game as a neutral. It was an entertaining watch. I thought Bo'ness was a bit unlucky not to take something from it.

EK will win the league but I'm beginning to have some doubts about them defensively. After seeing them concede 7 v Tranent and 3 v Bo'ness, they don't handle teams that press them very well.  If you stand off them, they have enough guile to play through your defence.  I'm sure that more clubs will pick up on that fallibility, including any L2 side that plays them in the play-off.

A nice touch was a wee hug between Shaun Rutherford (Bo'ness) and Nathan Flanagan (EK) before the game and their chatting throughout the game.  The pair will have played together when both were still at Hearts (as did Ryan Stevenson).

Elgin & Clyde both showing frailties too versus Tier 6 sides. Be interesting too to see the impact of managerial changes at Brechin on their chances for the play off.

Massive chance for the Seasiders to make history 👍

Broxburn lose a 98th minute goal to go into extra time against 9 man Buckie Th.

Players sent off on 22 and 45.

Surely the should still win.

Youngster letting off flares on road up to Albyn, smell was horrendous from them.

I was in the car going to the shops

Gutted. Made a lot of good chances but just not to be.

Didn't look like 3 levels of a difference at all and Connor Sammon is still utter dogs jobbies
