Unlike most civilized countries and cities the supporters of the two cheeks can't be trusted. I do seem to recall Celtic doing open top bus runs after recent cup wins. However the routes seem to have been on the east side from the north of the Clyde at Saltmarket then up the Gallowgate and onto Celtic Park. The question is why, when there is no such tradition (and in the middle of a pandemic), did the Police allow T'Rangers fans to march to George Square? Also there was no need to let them into the stadium. As far as I am aware the club still has control over the Albion Car Park across the road from the Stadium. Google maps tells me it is twice the area of George Square, so there is plenty room to accommodate a mob. (Same goes for the open space/car parking areas in front of Celtic Park - far bigger area than George Square). Why did the Police not just kettle them onto the clubs own property and let them carry out their sash bash nonsense there? The Palestinian protest got a free pass because it was largely attended by Nationalist SNP voters. You can deny that all you want, but it won't change anything.
