Not just in defence. Souttar stepping out of defence or raking long balls out to the flanks is something we've needed all season. So many times this season Halkett or Popescue had empty ground in front of them to step out of defence, drawing midfielders in and create space to start an attack and they never did it, allowing the opposition time to get back and pack defence. Hearts are zipping the ball about so much better now (admittedly we have much more space being a man up) and it helps the overall performance. Confidence increases, desire increase, workrate increases because players know the ball will reach them where they need it to and want it to, so they can get the chance to do what they want with it. Very encouraging from Henderson and GMS, plus Boyce his usual excellent self. We might need pacier wing backs to make it work in the Premiership though. Although Kingsley and the left and Logan on the right could work. Neither are exactly the motoring up and down the flank all night type though.
