That quote "any required arbitration or court process which may be required"   makes no sense. Apart from the strange English wording, are they really expecting the SPFL to fund their legal representation at an SFA tribunal ....... against the SPFL ?

SPFL mafia doing all they can to stop their Brechin friends from facing the music. They've even got Brechin chairman to step down from his role for a few months so no one raises suspicions when they announce the playoffs won't go ahead, a year on its scary that we are still governed by the corrupt mafia.

I think you called this right .... but the Brechin chairman is now afraid that they’ll go back on the deal and stab him in the back. The good news is that for  once the SFA doesn’t seem to be acting as the SPFL’s poodle.

Looks like both are about to go down 👍 after last year great news 👌 Elgin Chairman was a right t#@t too so hope they bugger up in the playoffs 🤞

Two clubs going cheap.......!

Bottom of league two shouldn't even get a chance at a playoff. They should automatically go down. Typical Scottish football to try to keep preventing the playoffs from taking place.

Good to see old dented chrome domed helmet slug do a slime crawl out  of the SPFL.

They are all off their heads on the guzzle, scoop up every drop off the floor.Utter scumbags need shafted to f.

Two top leagues consisting 18 teams each, playing home and away. Backing that up an 18 teams Semi Pro / Part time.

Behind that you can upgrade from Junior and amateur levels. This is the only place to play Colts, no promotion or relegation.

Or just have a colts league, with separate TV deals etc.

 Leaders, who needs them.

Can't believe they actually said no single club should be severely disadvantaged due to the exceptional circumstances.

The main talking point from Hearts, was to make them eat their medicine. I near took some as well.

Glugged on self pity instead.

Brechin's Reconstruction proposal also has Rangers and Celtic Colts joining League 2 in 2023.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/56821552

Would this proposal have to be voted on by all SPFL clubs and would it require the same percentage majority per division as ours did last year?

Or because it only affects L2 sides would any vote be confined to L2 clubs?

The board of directors at Brechin City have absolutely no shame whatsoever.

They should be booted out the league for bringing the game into disrepute.

Isnt the SPFL just as required to fully support the playoff winner in said arbitration?

So taking a tinted glasses look at this.

Here Brechin boy gonna leave the board and in a week argue with us that Brechin shouldn’t be relegated and put a proposal out which lets rangers n celtic get their colts in too. By the way iv emailed you the letter youve to send us and the proposal that youve to put to us.

Thanks

They're not members of the SPFL

The reality of all this is that if the playoff does go ahead then Brechin has the chance to save themselves by winning the tie.  It was an opportunity that was denied several teams last year.

Brechin will also have the advantage going into any playoff by being match fit and match sharp, with months of training and competitive games behind them.

Err, done us a lot of good at Brora right enough 😱

Cheers Smithee , they have to have some tie surely to be able to join the league. (SFA to SPFL) Seems dodgy as if they are not members until they reach L2. If not is basically at the whim of the SPFL what happens?

This is beyond satire now.

Anyhow, Alloa, Brechin, Hamilton and Ross county going down and Stranraer, Falkirk, Thistle and Caley going up with us is all still on the cards for almost perfect karma.

Wow, with all the crap last summer, to the super league football, to this with Brechin has turned football into a horrible place filled with ^^^^s. I've never felt so disillusioned with football and people! Are people just less self-aware these days?

Yep, the SPFL is a closed membership organisation, if it decides there isn't a place up for grabs this season there's bugger all can be done about it.

If there is a playoff and team 42 lose then they'll forfeit their membership plus share in the company to the winner.

No wonder Brechin feel they can do what they like to avoid dropping out then.

The play-off is a SFA competition.......Brora should be asking the SFA and its member clubs to back them.

The HL/LL playoff is an SFA match. The Club 42 game is an SPFL governed match.

Yes.....so the SFA should be supporting their competition and insisting it all goes ahead.

We still don't have an answer to how the SPFL were able to scrap the League 2 play offs last year.

You need to look under the carpet in Doncaster’s office for that one 🧹

Just catching up with the Brechin fiasco...

Think the chairman has overdosed on arsehole pills and if he hasn’t he needs his brass neck wound in. Roaster of a man.

Brechin now to apply for one of the vacant ESL slots.

Ken Ferguson heard that there was a "hedge" fund involved.

And what would be the extent of this 'severe suffering'?

The opportunity to remain in the same division of the league by virtue of playing football?

.... and you STILL have a chance to do something about it! Either avoid being bottom or win the play off. You havea footballing answer to your problem not one decided in the board rooms of the SFA and SPFL.

Brechin's argument needs to explain why their Chairman Ken Ferguson as a member of the SPFL board agreed to relegate 3 other clubs though not their own "in these unprecedented times".
