No coincidence someone is missing from it.

Yeah, no coincidence about it. Berra is finished, and Stendel spotted it straight away. Robbie been too sentimental giving Berra regular games. Hopefully that's him out the team for good now.

Halliday did well and plays sensibly - generally chucked the ball forward rather than faffing about. Smith and Popescu seem to love a pass back which gives me the fear in conditions like these.

like the look of Mceneff.

I'm not a big fan of Halliday but he took some punishment tonight . Def my MOM.

It’s not a penalty if it deflects off the body onto the arm in any instance.

That is not the rule.

Its conditional.

Pro Hearts bias from Neilson in the interview as usual. Penalty a stone waller

Another away win, another clean sheet.

McEneff looks very much like he could have that speed of thought in the transitional phase we have missed for a while

Dont want to get too excited but looked the part. Up to speed straight away and like you say effortless to see and pick the right option with ease

Robbie. A number of chances?

1 shot on target not counting the pen.

Winning ugly but winning is the only positive apart from the newbies.

Whatever the plan was with the 2 strikers it failed dismally.

Boycie is not a midfielder

Wish McEneff got longer. Didn't get to see much but looked decent. Wonder where his shot was headed had it not struck the boys arm. Looked on target and a decent hit.

Reckon Andy Irving passed back over 75% of the time and, on a number of occasions, when wide, it was all there for him to sling in an  swinger towards Gnando.

Popescu has more than 1 bad pass or bomb scare moment in him. He a worry :hae36:

I’d rather watch Popescu bring the ball out of defence to set up attacks and maybe give the odd goal away than watch Berra have a panic attack every time he has the ball

👍🏻

Hoping with him in the midfield we might look a lot better going forward

As I've said, if Andy Irving had slung a few balls from wide to Gnando instead of passing back!!!

McEneff looks the biz after only 30 mins.

The very fact he is all energy, mobile and forward thinking is enough for me.

He does mate and looks a good footballer also

Any kind of win will do me to be honest, any increase on 1-0 Hearts and I'll be as happy as Larry(Whoever Larry is )

1-0 it was , knew it would be a tough game but absolutely delighted with result although the performance could have been better 😎

Is it too much to ask that the BBC folk at the game know the handball rule

Could you explain it to me because that’s not a penalty under any rule I’m familiar with

A dig it out win. Very fortunate with the penalty we got, but that was down to Robbie bending McLean's ear at half time for the penalty he should have gave but didnt.

Worst tackle of the match was Muirhead on Boyce just outside the box, right in front of MacLean and he said play on. Terrible refereeing.

Apart from our own mistakes due to our players not concentrating, Ayr could still be playing now and still wouldnt score or get a shot on target.

3pts wanted. Mission accomplished.

I won't be judging Gnando's after that game but he needs to assert himself and make the ball stick a bit more.

I might have judged him.

Watching us it's sometimes hard to understand how we are pishing this league, I'll take it though as long as we back were we belong

Ooh. Kerr having a dig at Robbie.

Jug eared wank.

I thought there were pirates on the Ayr bench. I definitely heard someone say “look at the buccaneers over there”

I’ll get my own coat.

Can't expect every game to be like 4-0 against Raith. Just like last time the scrappy wins are as important as the easy wins. Our competitors won't win those games.

You’re right about that tackle on Boyce. Clear foul and possible red card. McLean has really deteriorated as a referee over the last couple of years.

wee club or not, we are still the only team to beat them at home this season. Not an easy job regardless of what people might think. On to the next one!
