If Halliday isn’t completely fit and is off the pace, even slightly, he’s a potential red card.

Haring starting would be huge. The guy oozes class and will help the centre halves behind him, immeasurably.

Great in both boxes too

It seems to be the case. I hope he keeps the head. Collum won’t need asking twice.

Come on the famous, a Hearts win today will destroy them and they will go into their annual free fall.

It would be naive of us not to recognise that they have to be favourites. They're top 6 premier league playing nominally a Championship side. I say nominally because I doubt any honest observer would disagree that Hearts are actually a premier league side with a premier league squad.

The way I see it them being favourites simply puts all the pressure on them. The bookies make them favourites but not by a great deal. Hearts 11/5 them 16/11.

We can hope the extra pressure on them as the premier league side and the favourites produces an edge for Hearts. An early goal in their net would really pile on the pressure.

In my opinion they have been riding their luck big time all this season. They tend to scrape narrow 1 goal victories as they did even against the semi pros of league one Forfar. It took till the 87th minute to get that 1 goal just a couple of weeks ago.

The lucky bubble has to burst sometime and a high pressure derby semi final is the prefect environment for it.

Unless there has been a change, Paddy Power and WH had us as favourites. Boyce was also favourite to score with both.

If it is Halliday over Irving, this says to me us being more wary than we probably should be

I wouldn't think so because of the wind keeping rain away. But looking out window its pretty bad. Still the final in December will be fine

Regards the weather i seen it’s to get up to  60mph by lunch time in Glasgow.

Am I being a drama queen thinking you can’t play football in 60mph winds?

Will definitely suit Hibs. Shell it out wide for Boyle to chase and hoofs up the park to Doige.

With flair though. . .

Hopefully olly lee's left boot can give us the stats.

I'm sorry, but i've been let down far too many times to say that we're going to hammer a hibs team that are actually decent this time.

And yeah, Neilson still has to prove his worth.

1. Not been a Hearts fan for long if you've been let down too many times v Hibs

2. To some people. Proved his worth to me last time and aint doin too bad, thus far this time.

Of course, lose today and the pitchforks and torches will be out for the Cleetus the slack jawed yokels in our support

Arguably more pressure on hibs who have to try to live up to their hype and they will fear getting beaten by us even more given our (artificially created) lower status at the moment.
Underneath, they all know hearts have always had the upper hand.
Any win will do me!!!

I live round the corner from the vermin's training barn so see plenty like that. I know it's childish but I can't help saying "wank" as they go past.

I'd put my last on him starting

I agree. Expect us to aim for the team that started against Dundee with the exception of Halliday replacing Irving. If Ginnelly isn't fit enough Wighton probably instead of him.

I'm nervous about today but we are absolutely capable of beating them. History has consistently shown that we are superior to them and that even when we are at a low ebb we normally come good and beat them. FTH.

No pressure on Hearts appart from the pressure we put on ourselves.  The vermin are favourites and if I wasn't a Jambo I would be expecting them to win, but I am not (thank God) so FTH.

I fully expect a Hearts win after Scotland beat Wales.  Now time to shower and put on my maroon.  I am so excited, I just can't hide it..

Oh they are confident. Just been told by my hibby nephew that there’s no point watching as they will win easily.

This isn’t our first rodeo though...

I think it will be close,  we'll win and the key player will be Craig Gordon, especially if it goes to penalties. However the weather is going to be horrendous with 60mph winds, it could be mayhem.

I would imagine it was some Hibs **** that thought JIS 🍆💦 HFC 🤮 was a good number plate until we ****ed them 1-5 and it became hilarious,  to us anyway.

It is going to interesting and let’s hope we do these *******s once again.
