He is one of a very long line of Hibs managers who start well then end badly (don't think he'll achieve much there). The thing with Hibs is whenever they do have a decent patch, even just winning not necessarily the way they play, they get hyped up like crazy in the media, which makes their inevitable decline shortly afterwards so much more enjoyable for us. It happens like clockwork with almost every new manager they appoint. Butcher was being written about in glowing terms after he put a wee run together as well.

 

They do the same with some of their players. Nisbet for Scotland or the EPL FFS.

Spot on. One or two players from that level is fine as you can focus on improving them with good players around them, not almost a whole team including most key positions. We've seen this before with Hibs, notably under Duffy. Also saw it under their previous manager who packed the team with too many lower league England players.
