When I first started to go to Hearts games, we didn’t have a badge of any description on our kit. Must have been late 70s/early 80s before one appeared? I don’t know how common it was for Scottish teams to have a badge in 1874. This version is a clear tribute to the original team, which was roundly suggested by Hearts fans over the last few months. I don’t think it’s negative, I didn’t mean to be negative. I understand the history but I’d just aesthetically prefer it to be normal sized. All maroon I’m fine with.
