Was more interested in Getdown Services who are in support but really liking Szmiereks album. Looking forward to it. Quote

Brave Rival for Edinburgh which is probably the best of the three Quote
jimbojambo Posted March 10 Posted March 10 Going to see Van Morrison in 3 weeks at the Usher Hall as never seen him in concert. Slightly concerned as no-one who's seen him has a good word to say about his attitude. Quote

They had one conversation in several months. It was on the day of the first gig rehearsal. My mate - Hi, nice to meet you I’ll be doing the lighting for the shows. Van - And why the **** should I care? And that was as friendly as it got. Quote
davemclaren Posted March 13 Author Posted March 13 Hopefully getting tickets for Tommy Emmanuel at the Queens Hall. Quote
Jacques de Gatineau Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Delighted to see Young Gun Silver Fox touring the UK in May. Definitely going to one of those shows. Quote
Carl Fredrickson Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Got tickets for me and my son to see Counting Crows in Edinburgh. Birthday present for them but I dont like the Corn Exchange as a venue. Saw CCs there in 2002. First 4 albums were tremendous but havent done anything I have really liked since. My son has got into them.... Tickets to see the Johnny Cash Roadshow and the Simon & Garfunkel Story at the Haddington Corn Exchange. Not a great venue but it means my daughter can come too. They love old music which means most gigs we got to are tribute acts. Quote
Geddyalexneil Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Zeal & Ardor at The Garage tomorrow night. Very interesting band with a back story! New album is not as heavy but still really good. Here is a track from the last album! Quote
PTBCAL Posted March 17 Posted March 17 Was at SLF Sat in Newcastle. Enjoyed it but definitely noted that JB vocals seemed tired. Be interesting to hear from anyone at the Barrowlands tonight Quote
jimbojambo Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Going to see Alison Moyet at the Usher Hall tomorrow night. She was the support at Floors Castle for Tears for Fears and sounded amazing do should be a brilliant gig. Quote
il Duce McTarkin Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Beta Band touring again. Struggling for tickets, though. Quote

I wasn't aware that they wer touring again or I'd have made sure to get some. Last time I saw The Beta Band at the Barrowlands I'd had a pipe or two too many at the pub before the gig and spent most of it on a massive whitey. Quote
the original dalry llama Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Alarm set for tomorrow to get up in time for the 6am flight to Madrid. Quote

Pay your money and take what you get, no encores and sometimes none of the songs most know. The word arrogance was made for him. Quote
Tazio Posted March 29 Posted March 29 I’ve just spotted My Bloody Valentine are playing Glasgow in November. Modern rules and regulations will hopefully mean they aren’t as terrifyingly loud as when I saw them back in the day. It was bloody painful. Quote
