Going to see Szmierek on Saturday night. He's been really good the couple of times I've seen him. Enjoy.

Was more interested in Getdown Services who are in support but really liking Szmiereks album.  Looking forward to it.

I initially thought that it was 3 support bands which would have been incredible but it's difficult support for each show. Brave Rival for Edinburgh which is probably the best of the three

Going to see Van Morrison in 3 weeks at the Usher Hall as never seen him in concert. Slightly concerned as no-one who's seen him has a good word to say about his attitude.

Someone I know toured with him in the 70’s as his lighting director. They had one conversation in several months. It was on the day of the first gig rehearsal.
My mate - Hi, nice to meet you I’ll be doing the lighting for the shows.
Van - And why the **** should I care?

And that was as friendly as it got.

Got tickets for me and my son to see Counting Crows in Edinburgh. Birthday present for them but I dont like the Corn Exchange as a venue. Saw CCs there in 2002. First 4 albums were tremendous but havent done anything I have really liked since. My son has got into them....

Tickets to see the Johnny Cash Roadshow and the Simon & Garfunkel Story at the Haddington Corn Exchange. Not a great venue but it means my daughter can come too. They love old music which means most gigs we got to are tribute acts.

Zeal & Ardor at The Garage tomorrow night.

Very interesting band with a back story! New album is not as heavy but still really good.

Here is a track from the last album!

Was at SLF Sat in Newcastle.

Enjoyed it but definitely noted that JB vocals seemed tired. Be interesting to hear from anyone at the Barrowlands tonight

Cheers, didnt know that. Anything would be an improvement but I will go with a far more optimistic outlook knowing it has improved.

I wasn't aware that they wer touring again or I'd have made sure to get some.

Last time I saw The Beta Band at the Barrowlands I'd had a pipe or two too many at the pub before the gig and spent most of it on a massive whitey.

Fantastic musician

But he don't give a shoite for anyone who turns up.

Pay your money and take what you get, no encores and sometimes none of the songs most know.

The word arrogance was made for him.

I’ve just spotted My Bloody Valentine are playing Glasgow in November. Modern rules and regulations will hopefully mean they aren’t as terrifyingly loud as when I saw them back in the day. It was bloody painful.

First gig in over a year last night for me and Mrs NLJ. Went to see Kula Shaker support Ocean Colour Scene at Sheffield City Hall. Nice venue, similar to the Usher Hall.

I'd never seen either live before but both bands were excellent. Would definitely go see them again.

From The Jam in Perth on the 25 April.

The last gigs Bruce Foxton will be doing due to health problems and also after the sad death of Rick Buckler.

Saw them in Edinburgh in January and there was no appearance by Foxton hence the trip to Perth and a couple of nights away.

Went to see eXTC at the Macarts in Gala last Friday. Nice wee venue - first time I've been. Train down and back up allowed for a few beers as well.

Cracking wee venue and prices are quite reasonable.
