Want to find aliens? Here's how you can help!

SETI Researchers Release Petabytes of Data in the Search For Aliens;

safe_image.php?d=AQCAqnv70F7rwUhH&w=540&

Last week (Friday. Feb. 14th), the Breakthrough Listen Initiative released about 2 petabytes of optical and radio data that they have accumulated over the past four years. This is the second data release by the non-profit effort (as part of Breakthrough Initiatives) and the public is once again invited to search through the data for possible signs of extraterrestrial communications.

The announcement was made at a media briefing in Seattle, where the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) was taking place. During the event, Andrew Siemion – the director of UC Berkeley’s SETI Research Center and Breakthrough Listen’s principal investigator – presented the latest data obtained by the initiative.

This constitutes the largest release of SETI data, the previous having been the petabyte that Breakthrough Listen released last June. As Matt Lebofsky – Breakthrough Listen’s lead system administrator – said in a Berkeley News release:

Richard Dawkins speaking on the likelihood of life elsewhere in the universe. He's speaking about a lot more than that in this video but it's primed to start at the relevant point.

Interestingly he repeated some of the points I made in my posts. Great minds think alike? 😉

Nothing like and no substitute for direct experience.

Outwith scientific fact  and even those  theories  that  it throws up, highly trained military personnel , have came forward with  various witness testimonies, from first hand and  direct  access, to top secret information  in relation to all manners of  highley strange witness accounts of highly strange  objects entering and leaving  various countries restricted air spaces.

Indeed there have been direct witness testimonies from a lot of various nations fighter and civilian pilots  describing objects picked up on their radars that have shown outstanding flight characteristics.

86991090_6164036016267_11484630322008555

On September 25, a peer reviewed paper was published about the flight characteristics and accelerations of the UAPs that were observed back in 2004 by the Nimitz Carrier Group, off the coast of California.

The three authors of the linked 19 page paper, are all from the Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies, with one author also from the Department of Physics at the University at Albany.

None of the authors state that they can prove that the UAPs are extraterrestrial in origin, however, they do state that these craft "appear to violate the laws of physics" and that their estimated accelerations "are consistent with accelerations required for effective interstellar travel, i.e., if these observed accelerations were sustainable in space, then these craft could easily reach relativistic speeds within a matter of minutes to hours and cover interstellar distances in a matter of days to weeks, proper time."

The authors state that they tried to produce a conservative estimate on the observed accelerations, by taking note of "uncertainties to the observations" and by assigning "liberal uncertainties modeled by a Gaussian distribution."

The estimated accelerations of the UAPs were determined by radar data from USS Nimitz former Senior Chief Operations Specialist Kevin Day, eyewitness information from CDR David Fravor and LCDR Jim Straight, as well as analyses of the ATFLIR video.

This published paper shows various formulas used to determine the constant and limited acceleration of the UAPs, as well as how the authors came up with "a ballpark estimate of the power involved to accelerate the UAP."

The author's analysis suggest that the UAPs were either autonomous or remote controlled craft. They believe the UAPs "are taking advantage of technology, engineering, or physics" they aren't familiar with, because the UAPs "had no apparent flight surfaces or means of propulsion," they didn't produce any sonic booms or give off any "excessive heat that would be released given the hundreds of GigaWatts of power" that was needed to propel these craft.

And it goes on;

"One might imagine that the presence of  unidentifiable , or incomprehensible technology would constitute potential evidence. However, it would not rule out the fact that it could have been created by someone on Earth. The purpose of this paper is not to prove the Extraterrestrial Hypothesis, but instead to focus on the flight kinematics of these UAVs with the aim of building up a body of scientific evidence that will allow for a more precise understanding of their nature and origin."

All quotes and content are from this link, where you can download and read the PDF of the paper entitled, "Estimating Flight Characteristics of Anomalous Unidentified Aerial Vehicles."

 There are plenty of  other in depth  studies carried out by credible sources.

We even have the USAF Blue Book investigations that appeared to be at loggerheads  with military reported sightings of very strange and sophisticated objects in its air space.

There's no proof that any of them have crashed...

But it's possible.

Lightning, Weather, maybe even something shitty from us that they wouldn't expect like our radar could have brought them down.

Who knows.

All i know is that there are thousands of unexplained sightings of things in the sky that maneuver like nothing else we know of.

Crazy as it sounds.

Give you a classic example of something mind blowing suddenly becoming known. And I can barely imagine the amazement when this discovery came to light.

Until around the mid 1920's it was thought that the Milky Way galaxy was the entire universe. The best telescopes had noted smudgy looking dots which they termed nebula but it was still thought these 'nebula' were inside the milky way.

Then the new 100 inch Mount Wilson in Southern California telescope came online which was able to define these 'nebula' somewhat better. And it began to be realised that they were actually entire groups of stars.

Further than that the better telescope made it feasible to judge the distance of these objects which proved to be enormous. Close on a million light years for the nearest one.

That's a far greater distance than the estimated width of the milky way itself so it became obvious that these were a new kind of object. And as they looked around it began to become clear that far from being rare they were numerous.

At first they were called island universes but as universe means the entirety a new term had to be developed, galaxies. In the moment of that discovery the universe expanded in size from mind mindbogglingly large to unimaginably large. Their astonishment must have been breathtaking.

I don't know if we will ever have another such moment of sheer astonishment when it comes to sky watching. The discover of alien life if it happens would be more expected than this was.

A bit off topic, but in the early days of the American occupation of Iraq massive military planes flew weekly from the USA to Iraq crammed with pallets of cash, all $100 bills.  It was intended to pay the bills of the Iraqi government.

After it was unloaded, almost all of it vanished. Everyone over there had his hand in the cookie jar, it seems.

That's the only possible explanation.  :wink:

Talking about Venus, I was in Jamaica on vacation a few years ago and Venus was dazzling in the low evening sky. I was sitting at the pool bar admiring the view when a women nearby suddenly shrieked out, "Oh my god, what is that?", pointing to Venus, then called for her husband to take pictures of the mysterious object.

I concluded that she must have had a a few too many rum punches. :toasting:

Remember reading this in 2019. If some  leaned men and women are  at this stage on the "possibility" only stage then just what have other  highly advanced civilizations  managed.  Advanced faster than light travel or interstellar space travel.

NASA also have such a programme and are treating it seriously.

And that famous quote, "To boldly go. were no man has gone before.....

Quote;

Push a button, press a petal, and that fancy drive system – whose workings no one can explain – will send us to another location in space-time.

However, in recent years, the scientific community has become understandably excited and skeptical about claims that a particular concept – the Alcubierre Warp Drive – might actually be feasible.

This was the subject of a presentation made at this year's American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Propulsion and Energy Forum, which took place from August 19th to 22nd in Indianapolis.

This presentation was conducted by Joseph Agnew – an undergraduate engineer and research assistant from the University of Alabama in Huntsville's Propulsion Research Center (PRC).

As part of a session titled "The Future of Nuclear and Breakthrough Propulsion", Agnew shared the results of a study he conducted titled "An Examination of Warp Theory and Technology to Determine the State of the Art and Feasibility".

What if an advanced civilisation have already got "warp drive" and are that advanced they have the teck too to get here.... Not so funny  in this light...

"Perhaps a Star Trek experience within our lifetime is not such a remote possibility." These are the words of Dr. Harold "Sonny" White, the Advanced Propulsion Theme Lead for the NASA Engineering Directorate. Dr. White and his colleagues don't just believe a real life warp drive is theoretically possible; they've already started the work to create one".

"Yes. A real warp drive, Scotty."

:4_1_72:

"When it comes to space exploration, we are still cavemen."

"We got to the Moon and sent some badass robot to Mars. We also have those automatic doors that swoosh wide open when you get near them, but that's about it. It's cool, but we are far from being the space civilization we'll need to become to survive for millennia".

If it's possible here on earth than were else in this vast universe.

Scientists Find The First-Ever Animal That Doesn't Need Oxygen to Survive;

"Some truths about the Universe and our experience in it seem immutable. The sky is up. Gravity sucks. Nothing can travel faster than light. Multicellular life needs oxygen to live. Except we might need to rethink that last one".

Scientists have just discovered that a jellyfish-like parasite doesn't have a mitochondrial genome - the first multicellular organism known to have this absence. That means it doesn't breathe; in fact, it lives its life completely free of oxygen dependency.

This discovery isn't just changing our understanding of how life can work here on Earth - it could also have implications for the search for extraterrestrial life.

The research has been published in PNAS.

Scientists Claim to Have Found The First Known Extraterrestrial Protein in a Meteorite;

A new discovery could be a clue for us to see if life could emerge elsewhere in the Solar System. Using a new analysis technique, scientists think they have found an extraterrestrial protein, tucked inside a meteorite that fell to Earth 30 years ago.

The research is currently available on arXiv.

Feck nows what this is. Camera pixel???

Huge Ezekiel's Wheel Type UFO Spotted In Our Solar System By STEREO A Camera. February 29, 2020

Think NASA have still to comment on this if they have not already that is.

The development comes weeks after a camera at the International Space Station spotted an unknown cone-like object that was flying upward.

NASA’s STEREO observation mission has spotted what fans of conspiracy theories said is a gigantic UFO flying past the Sun. The incident itself occurred on 29 February, but the footage of it was posted just recently on the channel “Hidden Underbelly 2.0” dedicated to mysterious events and sightings. According to the host, STEREO’s camera filmed the humongous object for four seconds after which it turned off and began working only after the UFO passed.

The "humongous object" appears to be bigger than Mercury, Venus, and the Earth. "You can tell this thing doesn’t look like our space station, no way. It doesn’t look like any satellite that I have seen. To be honest, when I first saw the footage I thought: Ezekiel’s Wheel! It’s very similar – the circle with a cross in it", the host said.

The host refers to a saying in the Book of Ezekiel, where the prophet spoke about a flying chariot, which he described as a “wheel in the middle of a wheel”.

The building blocks of life can, and did, spontaneously assemble under the right conditions. That's called spontaneous generation, or abiogenesis. Of course, many of the details remain hidden to us, and we just don't know exactly how it all happened.

Or how frequently it could happen.

The world's religions have different ideas of how life appeared, of course, and they invoke the magical hands of various supernatural deities to explain it all. But those explanations, while colorful tales, leave many of us unsatisfied.

The stealth bomber was around for 15 to 20 years before it went totally public.

In that time a lot of triangular ufo were spotted.

Nothing spooky but the military tend to develop in secret.

That sounds like a conspiracy theory.:levein_interesting:

Still , there are plenty of very credible people in various scientific disciplines who are far from nut jobs that have express their views that a ET hypothesis for even as small % of UPAs  is massive.And who  have looked deeper at those really bizarre cases.

Why would any government fly any secret teck over dense civilian populated cities and towns  , beats the whole point of keeping it secret teck ..😉
