Pretty much aye. As you’re aware I’ve been critical of her at times but unless there’s a clear option of somebody better I’m in the stay camp.

But for Paul Gascoigne we would have won TWO cup finals in a row against one of the strongest Rangers teams in post war Scottish football.

Exactly. Trying to compare our sacked head coach with JJ is nonsense!

I see Ann Budge quoted in the record as saying she finds the criticism of her irritating. I think a good few fans are beginning to find you irritating too Ann!!

No idea how accurate the quote is given the source but I would say at the level she is at, she is fair game for the critics.

Same piece saying she wants to challenge for top 4 this season also and a minimum top 6 if that can't be achieved

She is well past her , Use By Date , I will always thank her for stumping up the cash to save us (which she will be paid back , plus) , but she has overseen a 3 year period of absolute mediocrity on the football side of the club, for me that is unforgivable now .

Leveins Battalion

Even if we got relegated some on here would still defend both her and Levein, absolute madness. They are both culpable for the gross mismanagement of this football club.Even now we have a new manager trying to find his way but having the stench of the previous regime lingering around the halls of Riccarton and Tynecastle.

I have seen no evidence that the academy is producing talent (Hickey aside). It has been 5 years now since administration and we are in a worse mess now (football wise)

The amount of signings is beyond comprehension. Our scouting and rerecruitment is allowed to continuously under achieve.Having an internal reshuffle will achieve nothing.

We are in real trouble here,a team at rock bottom,a fanbase so far apart in support for the team,an owner so far out of touch with the support,a sterile atmosphere in the stadium and poor Daniel Stendel in amongst this trying to get a band of journeymen, old pros coming to and end of their career, injury prone and frankly players not fit to wear the Hearts shirt functioning as a team.

This is a sad time to be a Hearts fan.

She does need to go. The shambles we’re in is ultimately her fault and the fact that she couldn’t see it coming means she’s not up to the job.

Unbelievable how she doesn't understand football or points accumulation or league tables. Top 4! Completely non achievable this season. Top 6 most likely also out of reach now. With statements like this my real concern is that she and those around the boardroom table don't realise the jeopardy we are in in terms of the relegation fight we have on our hands. WAKEN UP ANN!

The overspend on the stadium is beyond belief and the crisis on the pitch tells me she’s not up to the job and for me she can go. I’m an FOH member however I don’t want fan ownership. We need a vote to see if we can get a new owner. Can see fan ownership being a disaster.

Aberdeen and Motherwell would need to have an entirely unexpected collapse for top 4 to be realistic and that's even if Hearts beat them in every game to come. Top 6 is still realistic.

Harsh - but her admission that it was Levein’s decision to take the head coach job despite the fact she said she was uncomfortable with it!

That was weak management for a CEO and even now she still can’t eject Levein from the Club.

Anyone’s know what Tom English was on about tonight. Basically calling her a liar about yesterday’s presser. Dick Gordon was asking if he was talking about Levein staying away and McPhee working at home. English wouldn’t elaborate.

Batshit crazy, this thread.

She is the best chairman/owner we have ever had in my lifetime as a hearts supporter.

For sure she has made mistakes but the club is as well run as it’s ever, ever been.

The football side will come, and there may well be further bumps along the road but ffs she truly is the best thing to ever happen to Hearts.

Cut her some slack!

Hardly made him feel loved did they? Compare and contrast with Barnsley fans treatment of a manager who did a worse job than Neilson was doing with us. Neilson never had us outside the top 3 in 2.5 seasons. Scored goals for fun and had a tight defence. No team hammered us by 5, and we only got 4 past us a couple of times I think. And we scored 3, 4 or more on a quite a few occasions. The real myths are that Neilson had "taken us as far as he could" and played "eye bleeding football".

Much of what you say is true - however you need to temper that with Neilson’s horrendous cup record and our mind numbing performances away from home.

One thing is for sure if we had known Levein was going to be daft enough to appoint Cathro, and Budge soft enough to agree to Levein’s request to be Head Coach, no Hearts fan would have wanted Neilson to leave!

I' keep her. She's admitted to her mistakes, and that honesty is rare in football. We have never been in a better position financially or businesswise. She won't stay long anyway. Also, a new CEO will cost a lot!!

I'm guessing basic arithmetic isn't your strong point? You think closing a 10 point gap over 20 games and 60 points available is hysterically impossible apparently. Peculiar. Though not if you're numerically challenged I suppose.

My basic arithmetic is pretty good, thanks for asking, but I’m guessing basic English isn’t your strong point?

Your previous post stated “realistic” which would suggest you think there’s a very good chance of it happening. Now you’re totally making things up and suggesting that I think it’s “hysterically impossible”.  I’d say the two likelihoods you’ve suggested are poles apart.

I think that based on the fact we’ve only won two league games all season and currently can’t score a goal, this would suggest it is highly unlikely, rather than realistic or impossible that we will finish top 6.

My English is absolutely fine when people actually speak it but I have to point out that a bunch of emoji's doesn't qualify as English or any language at all to my knowledge.

As for realism closing a 10 point gap is not unrealistic in this league considering what's actually between Hearts and that top 6 spot.

The bookies who are commonly arithmetically competent are offering a mere 4/1 for a top 6 finish which gives me the idea that just like me they don't view it as hysterically unrealistic.

So the bookies are offering 4/1?  Thanks for clarifying that they agree with me that it’s unlikely we’ll finish top 6.  Without checking the odds, my arithmetical acumen tells me that they’ll have as odds on favourites for bottom 6.

A further point,  regarding your suggested superior arithmetic knowledge, it seems it isn’t as good as you like you to think since we don’t have 20 games or 60 points available to make the top 6, we only have 15 games or 45 points to make that split which makes it even less likely, so excuse some more 😂😂😂 but you’ve made a bit of a tit of yourself.

Not at all, there's a reason confidence has been raised by this new manager and maybe unbeknownst to you the professional opinion across the board outside Hearts is they have a quality squad relative to the SPFL.

An opinion that thinks the squad is on a level way above what lies between them and a top 6 spot. And none of them were making tits of themselves with emojis when making that opinion.

The squad is shite and Stendel knows it already.  He seems shocked at the mess he has taken over and has already admitted it’s a much harder job than he anticipated.  That’s not what someone says that thinks they have inherited a quality squad but perhaps you and all the other clueless clappers know better than Stendel?

Anyway, have a good night, I’m off to bed, still pissing myself that someone who thinks they’re superior to me at arithmetic can’t subtract 18 from 33.  You should maybe try darts, that’s quite good for helping with basic counting.

Indeed, and as he proved though, while trying to make his snidey, condescending remark about me being numerically challenged, he’s showed it is him that has the issue as he seems to be unable to subtract 18 from 33 and multiple by 3!  Priceless!

I think everyone should have their own personal Happy Clapper but they’re a bit like Hibs.  You play with them for a while. they give lots of amusement but eventually you just get bored with them.  Sad thing is, even some of the Hibs trolls on here talk more sense.
