Hate to say it, but good on them.

Although I think he will be found out pretty quick in the step in level if he goes to the EPL.  Any time he has come up against anybody decent, he has been roasted.

I seen him a few times, and he was shite.

Looked to shoot every time he had the ball, and missed by miles.

Really? He was atrocious. Him and Curtis Main will be a disaster. Hope that Cosgrove is away.

Where was that £15m reported? Andy Robertson only went for £8m from Hull to Liverpool in 2017. £15m for half the player from Scotland would be hyper inflation.

THis.

I think he is hugely over-estimated and will be found out unless he learns very quickly

Only time I saw him was the game at Pittodrie in May on TV and I thought he looked sharp.

Bit unfair using Liverpool snagging a bargain as the standard for setting transfer fees.

Theres not many players in the world that should be going for more than £8m using that logic.

Wan bissaka reported 55million after 1 season at Crystal palace and Tierney captained country  played in Europe and is every bit the player Robertson is, and he is young. 15m nowhere near enough. Scotland needs to stop under valuing our players.

Do you really think Tierney is as good as Robertson? I have my reservations on that point. Will find out when they are both playing in the same league. Agree that Scottish clubs should be maximising fees from cash soaked English clubs. The Turnbull and McGinn fees suggest a sea change .

No frigging chance Tierney as good as Robertson. T good when going forward but defensively against decent opposition gets his arse handed to him every time.  Good on Celtic if they negotiate more for him but imo he's not worth it.

Robertson fee is a total anomaly. Even at the time it was seen as insane value which is rare now. No fee should be used a benchmark really cos they just don't make any sense anymore but that one definitely shouldn't.

The great benefit for Robertson is that he played.

Tierney going to Arsenal. He might be highly rated or he could regress as a squad player playing in  League Cup.

Every bit as good as Robertson is? Do you have a Celtic mate who told you that and you believed him?

Tierney couldn't even lace Robertson's boots, let along get anywhere near the Liverpool first team right now, he'd be lucky to make the bench!

Better than Robertson ffs

Robertson>Tierney by some margin just now. Can't compare the two of them when one playing against International wingers, multi million pound players every week and the other having to defend against George O'Boyle , GMS and Morrison and so on.

And.... essentially having a "home" ref for every game allowing him to be entitled little prick.

And.... after last season, looking like he is made of glass.

It will be the first bid which is way under what is expected. Arsenal if they really want him will quickly up the value.

Nothing in that says that we are not trying to bring in midfield reinforcements, just that if Djoum leaves we'll bring in a replacement.

Levein has already said we want more creativity in midfield so we're targeting that no matter what. The Djoum situation is more about do we need another more sitting type midfielder if he leaves.

Another comparison would be van Djik. Already a more proven player than Tierney when he left Celtic and he only cost Southampton 12m from Celtic.

Robertson wasn't even bought as first choice initially - he fought his way into Klopp's first team. Any club like Arsenal buying Tierney will be making sure they have another quality LB in case he doesn't work out, so they won't blow a lot of money on Tierney's potential.

I said on another thread Leicester seems the obvious move, especially as Chiliwell is attracting interest from Man Utd allegedly. Even if he stays, Tierney could compete with him as Robertson did with Moreno. Rodgers knows Tierney's potential better than anyone...

Or maybe Tierney could be signed by Klopp as back-up to Robertson to replace Moreno - haha. Then he'd have the two best LBs in Europe (according to Pat Bonner!)

Madness. He’s been utter pish every time I’ve watched him so fair play if you get that kind of cash for him.

Don't know what's crazier. Celtic bidding £5m for McKenna or Aberdeen knocking back that much for him.

Uche had him on toast and he's been horrendous for Scotland. Sold goals against Cyprus and Belgium by being beaten in the air.

I'll be gutted if they get 8m for McKenna and we get 3m for Souttar. The difference is night and day ffs.

Don't know how these shan pundits can't see the difference!

If that McKenna story is true then celtic are in free fall under Lennon.

Not so sure Lennon has anything to do with transfers at Celtic.

It was Robertson who lost his man for the Cyprus goal.

There was a catalogue of errors for Lukaku’s first goal but McKenna’s was brutal. Terrible awareness,  positioning and no spring.

Lennon will be lucky to see the season out as Celtic manager. I fully expect him to be replaced before the January transfer window opens. Out of Europe, 2nd in the league and out the league cup will be the only treble he gets this year.

The Scottish press really are a joke when it comes to sucking up to the OF. Apparently Celtic are "competing" with Manchester City for an Ecuadorian player. In other words Man City have seen him play and Celtic have seen him play. If they are both serious he's only going to one place, and it ain't Celtic.

Is it true your players don't put pen to paper, rather, you put the players in a pen ?

Celtic panicking about having to pay him his wages so looking for an excuse?

Seriously though, Celtic's handling of this transfer has been nothing short of pathetic. Wonder if Norwich will still take him.
