It is Eric Carruthers and Hamish McAlpine is the goalie. Also Jackie Copland on the right and an ex Jambo on the left of the picture too (any takers?)

Could be 5-0 win for us in Texaco cup.

Maybe Drew Young, one of the scorers that night.

It's 100% Airdrie 2 Hearts 3, Scottish Cup, February 1978, Donald park scoring Hearts first goal.

I will take a guess that the keeper is Evan Williams.

In that case it would be Chris Robertson

Spot on with Evan Williams and Jim Craig is correct too.

Tenuous Hearts connection- Evan Williams was at Third Lanark with Drew Busby, (who famously scored Thirds' last ever goal...)

Yes. After having a closer look, you're right Drew.

The cup tie v Airdrie in February 1978 as mentioned earlier - this time it's Drew Busby heading his goal.

Why was that game played on a Monday night ?

Alan Anderson, Tommy Veitch and the Killie player is Jim Cook, who played for our reserves but I can't remember breaking into our first team.

Had already been postponed for weather and had the potential to go to two replays before the next round the following week
