I was hoping for a heavyweight contest, you hit me and I'll hit you, but Liverpools line up suggests it could be more tactical than that.

If Barca play the way they did against man u the dippers have a great chance.

Again though if their 2 Ex players turn up along with Messi anything is possible.

Can't wait for this..the 2 best sides left in the competition meet with world class players on both sides

Of course that means a dull 0-0 but lets hope not

I'va had a bit of fun on this thread but there is always time for a bit of realism

Barcelona in my opinion are the only side that can stop Liverpool and vice versa

Any side with the worlds best player has a great chance and there's no doubt about that these days it's Messi with a great supporting cast in Suarez and Coutinho who will I'm sure be especially looking forward to this and there is of course Pique and Rakatic etc etc

An excellent side and they are the type of side that can just as easily win away from home as at the Camp Nou

Liverpool wil miss Firminho and Alexander-Arnold in my opinion though Gomez is an excellent player but perhaps short of match fitness and a better centre back than right back...perhaps this is a sign of a more defensive approach away from home

Salah and Mane are full of pace and goals and they have the worlds best defender in Van Dijk.......lets hope Alisson has one of his best nights with no ****.

I'm biased and want Liverpool to win but it's always great to see Messi and co though lets hope tonight is an off night for Barcelona

There's the tie tonight for which Barcelona are rightly favourites but equally Liverpool are formidable at home

If they can be in the tie at the end of this match then they can win it overall...........it's a big IF though

Liverpool have gone defensive at times. Not always successfully e.g. defeat to Napoli.

Barca can be vulnerable at back.

Ronaldo is the best player in the world.

Ajax would beat Liverpool in the final. Liverpool bottle every chance of silverware, the obvious exception being that night in Istanbul. This will be the third season in the history of the EPL that the team who was top at Christmas don’t win the league. All three times, Liverpool! 1989 last game of the season being another prime example of them bottling it!

Pique and Suarez up to their tricks already, aided and abetted by Barça's second best player of recent years, El Arbitro.

If Sergio Ramos had done what Pique has done already he'd be booked or down the tunnel.

Saint Messi whining at the ref as usual but "He's not that type of player".

Nope. And Suarez has only had one red card in his whole time there.  In a cup game.  Let that sink in.

Cheating *******s...

Just speaking the truth.  It does beggar belief when you consider his record with Ajax, Liverpool and Uruguay and some of the stuff he has got away with in his time with the Blaugrana.

Looks like you missed me even more.  Have hardly posted on here in the last year but as soon as I do, you appear.  Very odd behaviour indeed.

No further correspondence will be entered into though take it easy big man.  Hopefully we're both celebrating on 25 May.

Peace.

I'm yanking your chain.

BTW, I've not just appeared, been posting as normal.

I just picture you sitting watching this in a boozer by yourself shouting at the TV screen.....

In a full Real strip with CR7 on the back. ?

If it helps, I reckon Liverpool might knock them out?

Maybe have a celebratory pint together on the 25th.?

As you say, Barca are a moral and a family, community club so probably helped reform him.

Shameful play acting yet again from Leo "He's not that kind of player" Messi.

Suarez blatant dive in the box again but no yellow card.

Disgraceful.

You've rumbled me!  Getting some funny looks in the boozer I must admit.

I know mate.  No offence taken.

Dunno why but I've got a feeling we will be celebrating in precisely 3 weeks and 3 days.

HHGH!
