Had a weight problem but has conquered that reinvented himself as a Fitness coach. Played for Scotland under 21s. I think signing Shankland would be money well spent, especially because he'd be playing along side and learning from naismith and Maclean. If we are we should leave well alone until January and hope he doesn’t get injured. On Shankland. We could have got him for nothing 6 weeks ago. We’ve looked at him before and I don’t believe we’re suddenly interested and surely not at 250k. The sensible solutions here would be 1. Get Vanecek in now but not at anything like 250k obviously or 2. Get a decent loan in from down south as back up striker or 3. Get an experienced elder striker in for a year. (Agbonlahor Bent Blackstock Pinilla , yes him !!! All without clubs) 4. Would be taking a punt on Shankland but not at £250k. But important to think about the future. In 2 years Uche may be gone, MacLean may have retired, Naismith may not be here either. Why get a striker in on a 6 month loan and then replace him with Vanacek in January?
