How would WE lose out financially from a one off game being played at murrayfield?

Wouldnt we as a club gain due to a higher gate receipts due to higher attendance than we would get at Hampden?

Wouldnt our city, Gorgie and OUR pubs gain economically due to 60,000 fans looking to drink and eat somewhere before and after the game rather than Glasgow

benefiting?

Your second point is ****ing stupid if you don’t mind me saying.

So what if the SRU Gets a bit of extra cash FFS?

How we would lose is quite simple. The semi-finalists get a split of the proceeds. Those proceeds would be lessened by giving a hefty wedge to the SRU.

Google the 2014 Scottish Cup and see how much it cost the SFA to host the semis and final  at Ibrox and Parkhead. It's not a cheap thing to do. The SRU would be taking a fortune. Celtic made more from hosting the final than the team that won the cup.

How's that for 'f*****g stupid'?

Scottish football is strapped for cash. Giving a big chunk of money to the SRU for no reason is daft. If you think that is 'f*****g stupid' then so be it.

Further to my previous reply.

The SRU's cut would come from our share of the gate. Why give up that money?

The anti-Hampden brigade often don't seem to realise what it costs to host games elsewhere.
