I have seen one recently, as it jogged my memory and I was like that’s what the waiting room used to be called.

I will keep searching for it.

Thanks mate, would be good to see it :thumb:

I agree wholeheartedly. I love looking at old photos and some from the 70s onwards I can remember.

Were the trees planted on the roundabout as a replacement for the metal monstrosity that used to be there?

It was meant to light up and be a work of art - a work of crap from what I mind

Cheers - just mentioned that in my last post. Looks like the trees were already there.

Was always a shame that they didn't maintain it so it never worked properly.

That can't be long after it was built, no clock yet. Shows how posh Edinburgh was that it used to be polo fields.

What year did the bridge come down? That’s a great photo though, gives a completely different look to that street. Take it the Spey Lounge isn’t there then, can’t see any meat wagons.

I remember the three wheeler motors in the goods yard.

I'm sure it was British Road Services.

Nup, that’s not coming back to me. Amazing how you remember some silly little things, but completely forget other stuff. I’ve been trying to find a picture of Spookerection indoor market on Earl Grey Street, but nothing so far.
