Just got sent this at my work. I'd take him. He is still the only decent Aussie forward.

Be delighted if we got even half that for Lafferty

$1m AUD is only £575k.

I imagine they are confusing Isma with Lafferty.

Cahill was excellent but at 38 I would pass on this one.

Maybe for an emergency game or 2 but no more

He's looking for more game-time to strengthen his case for the Aussie world cup squad, so I suspect he would want some guarantees regarding playing time.

Kenny Miller is 38 and there's no contest when it comes to ability.

It's not beyond the realms of possibility but it's a mighty risk!

Miller has been honking this year if he didnt hold sway hed never of been in the team. Even then aside from the Murrayfield game hes done nothing.

Aussie Banderson? Making up rumours based on the murmurings of an internet’s forum.

As far as I was aware, Cahill was only mentioned humorously when the MacLaren (sp) deal fell through.

Cahill is 1/5 to move to Millwall at bookies, move certainly seemed imminent.

Ties in with what Notts told us a while ago about Lafferty.

Notts never said anything on here?. Oh and I will be amazed if Cahill doesn't go back to Millwall.

Been rumoured for a while that he's going to Millwall but while the fans want him the coaching staff don't. Would put a couple of thousand on the gate because he really is a legend at the Den. Probably go to the Westfield Spammers.

Why are we wanting rid of Lafferty all of a sudden?

Hardly been a bad player, works hard and seems to have developed a decent relationship with the fans and club.

Would be even better with decent service.

That said £575k is a decent offer.

This 100%..... ok he has his problems.....but he's looked very good in games.... also not playing in favoured position every week.....some personal agendas on here, it's a supporters forum... try supporting our players for a change..

I think we'd find it hard to turn down half a million. That's good business.

£1m+ for Laff or GTF IMO

I want him to stay.

Would take Cahill for half a season though.

Daily Record covering the Cahill story now...

....or rather rehashing the other article.

Sounds as if Cahill is a bit desperate

I can’t see any risk taking him on for 6 months.

completely fits what we need with our lack of options up too - his sort of class doesn’t disappear at 38 - not in the SPL

Milwall fans on Twitter seem to be having a “Rudi’s Coming Back!!!¡¡” equivalent thing going on. They’re very excited. ?

What if Lafferty wants to leave? Does that change things. Remember anything can change in a moment

I’d take Cahill he’s a class act always has been would offer something completely different for us and would be some threat from set pieces with his heading ability. Would rather have him and Lafferty though

I like Kyle but If we can get £1m or there abouts for Lafferty and sign Cahill for free then it's a no brainer tbh. He's still more than good enough for the SPL, dragging Australia almost single handedly to the WC  proved that.

For Lafferty on a personal point of view it wouldn't be a good idea though imo, sounds like he's getting good 'support' off the field here at the moment and he seems to have settled in well. A gambling addict moving to a gambling obsessed country like China, UAE etc where he'll have plenty cash and free time is a recipe for disaster.

Captain America

These Lafferty leaving rumours seem to be sticking.

I hope it is not the case.

Cahill I can't see it happening.

All roads lead to Gorgie

I hope this is not true about Lafferty. The turn around in players is frustrating but that would take it to a new level.

I'd be very disappointed if Kyle was being edged out against his will.

I've grown to like him although I used to dislike him when he played for Rangers.  He just seems to fit in at Tynecastle.

What I don't understand is that the fact that KL plays for us has been suggested as a contributing factor if Naismith was to sign for us.

Some folk just seem to have it in for him for some reason.

Don’t think anyone is suggesting KL is being forced out unless iv picked up posters wrong...

Cahill 'til the end of the season on low wages would be an absolute no brainer, don't see it being any more than paper talk though.

I don't think you would get Cahill on low wages.I think he will still be on a fair chunk wherever he plays, not EPL type wages but still bigger than any wages we will be paying any of our current players
