Kyle Lafferty dare I say it.....

Maybe for NI but at club level his recent stats aren't that great tbh. b219cf274ad871c3e667122513bfd725.jpg

His record in his career is 1 goal every 2.5 games. If he kept that up and played 40 games for us this season, that's 16 goals. I'd be pleased with that

He feeds of balls into the box.

We have a habit of getting strikers and playing a game that doesn't suit them.

We badly need width.

We shouldn't be slagging our players , we are showing a worrying trend of getting on players backs very early

It reflects poorly on us.

I remember him running at defenders a lot when he played for the hvns, rather than being a target man.

His record at Palermo is impressive, maybe just shows how diddy the majority of Serie A is these days mind.

He played in Serie B.

More of a wide player with them. He wants to be the main man in the middle though and that's what sold us to him.

He's got ability - just hope we see it.

May be a slightly OTT comparison, but if for example you see a porno actress in the street is it okay for you to just fire into her and expect her to be fine with it likes?

Just because somebody get's their photo taken for a living doesn't give anyone the right to just start snapping away. In fact I'm pretty sure it's technically illegal (although seldom enforced) to take somebody's picture and share it publicly without express consent. When she's getting her photo taken by an agency, she's given them permission to do so.

Quite stalkerish and creepy indeed. Just saying.

Sorry for getting uppity, but the idea that a pretty girl out in public is just there for people to take pictures of and she should be expected to be okay with it all doesn't sit well with me.

The porn actress comparison was extremely OTT!!

The way society is now, if they see any famous/well known person then many will take a picture of them. Doesnt matter if the celeb is male or female.

Yip, back to goal isn't his game.

Maybe get a good reaction from home fans tomorrow.

Though is he first player who left under rules invalidating contracts when Rangers were 'liquidated'. The 'traitors'.

Whatever reaction he gets at the start of the game I thoroughly hope they're utterly raging at him by the end.

I think Whittaker got a hard time from the huns last week, as he was another who did walking away when they were liquidated.

You didn't need to say that. Everyone thinks it.

Just wacthed the highlights and he should have scored from the squared ball.

As should have Cowie after Djoums back heel.

Hopefully you create as good chances at Ibrokes and put them away

Why on earth do you think anyone on here is remotely interested in your patronising opinions about anything remotely related to Hearts.

We'd all much prefer to hear from someone with your iq who supports Hibs as they have a vested interest in us as city rivals.

Go away.

The boy will need to be careful today.

He'll be noised up today and that's a red waiting to happen.

Absolutely essential he stays 100% professional and keeps the head.

I like hearing input from other fans.

As long as they are open about their allegiances and respect the board then no problem .

It's the undercover Hibs and knee jerk moaning faced so called Jambos I can't abide.

Nothing wrong with his input.Never slags us or brings us down and very reasonable with his views. He even shares the same hatred towards sevco/hibs and celtic that does me.Theres others on here who are undercover and are hiding.Istl isnt.

Im no sure.I reckon he will be fine.He looked more frustrated and sevco are no where near as good as them.He could have a field day today if he gets the service.Hibs forwards run that defence ragged.

Nothing would please me more than big kyle ramming home a late winner today, it would enrage that lot more than lennon last week.

Came on to post this. Was given a specific role and he was excellent in it.

Him and Berra are exactly the characters we have missed the past few years.

Gk and 2 in midfield and we ain't far away.

Midfield being the priority. Get a winner or 2 in there and watch the difference it makes.

I think Smith is potentially the same to be honest.

Seems to be the most consistent guy in the squad. Great find from McPhee and Cathro.

Completely agree.

We also need to replace the width that we lost when Nicholson, King and Walker left or got to slow to play there.

Great to see Kyle give his all for the team.

Absolutely fantastic effort in defence today.

Not what he signed up for but exactly the kind of attitude we were hoping to get from him.

He will have plenty of games to score and assist today wasn't the day for it and he knew that.

Delighted with him.

Lafferty for a tall guy is poor in the air when jumping from a standing start. Both him and Goncalves are poor at holding the ball up. They both really need to improve that part of their games.

worked hard today but how many headers did he win? I saw one the whole game which begs the question, who on earth was giving the orders to play the high ball to Lafferty! I thought Isma looked like our only threat today and I am surprised at the abuse he gets, Walker on the other hand was a disgrace today in my opinion, so disrespectful to the club that have giving him absolutely everything for not a lot back!

He played for the shirt today. Although he didn't score his defending of the left was magnificent and help us get something out of the game.

Hamilton earned his crust today for sure!

Lafferty has great ability, can really test good defenses.... Having to track back and help with defense just lessens his usefulness....

As so many have said, 2 quality midfielder are needed, more so by each match that comes up....if only too allow the forwards to concentrate on hitting the net..

I took hearts for 4th, before the start of season...... Still see this.....

Totally agree. Today though, for me, his efforts made a huge difference. Something I doubt we'd have seen if Cathro was still in charge.

Just wanted to say that Lafferty worked his socks off today and spent most of the match playing as an additional left back/ left defensive mid. An absolute grafter.

I wouldn't say it lessens his usefulness. He did incredible work on defense today which is what we needed. But it certainly lessens his scoring ability.

Hamilton was decent today and deserves credit for that but he costs us time after time. The most recent at Parkhead 2 weeks ago!

He isn't good enough, that's the bottom line.

I agree that we need to sign an experienced keeper, but there are enough signs that Hamilton will be a great keeper in years to come.

I'm far from convinced mate.

Stick him out on loan to a championship club for the rest of the season and let's see though. Like should have been done last season.

Are you serious m8 ........ we basically played with 10 men due to walker not even interested in helping out his team mates or working for his pay !!!!!

Just let him go and take what money we can get from him now
