But he is making himself look stupid and unprofessional by slagging of a player who was perfectly entitled to make his own career choice and did. It was perfectly obvious to anyone even on the outside that if KL could agree a deal with Hearts there would be no need to talk to Hibs. No idea why this is such a shock to Gillespie. Lafferty said himself that there was no intention of speaking to Hibs unless and until the Hearts thing fell through and they couldn't get it done. Gillespie could also have written THE book on "How Not To Be An Effective Winger" as, whenever I saw him play (on TV only, admittedly) he seemed to much prefer knocking the ball back inside and strolling forward at a very leisurely pace rather than actually running with it / taking on a defender / putting a cross into the box from the byline.
