This is the summer where 100m plus players becomes the norm.

Said this before but what is the standard price after next years World Cup.

That always inflates average players.

All I can think of is Daniel Levy.

He's a genius at getting maximum money out of any spurs player.

He's been telling clubs to bolt for a year now over Kane, Alli, Dyer etc and it's because he could see this coming for years.

When he pushes the sell button on that Spurs team I reckon that will be the indicator that the market has hit it's peak.

By no means average but I can see young players like Mbappe and Donnarumma getting absolutely absurd transfer fees chucked at them next summer, especially given club performances as well (Monaco retaining ligue 1, AC winning the Europa league). Either of their countries has an outstanding world cup and I can see them in for a 150m transfer.

I'm looking at you PSG....

Barca officially had a bid for 19 year old Ousman Dembele rejected by Dortmund. They want 100M Euros for him and the player wants the move.

There's also talk that he has unfollowed the team on Instagram and removed all reference to him being a Dortmund Player on his social media profiles (the modern day transfer request).

Does this mean they will leave Coutinho?

The Internet

For some reason I can see Dembele flopping at Barca, doesnt seem like a good fit even though I think he's quality.

Barca need to seriously look forward - in 2/3 years Messi and Suarez will be on the decline, they haven't managed to replace Xavi or Iniesta yet so they should invest wisely!

Another Rumour that Stevie May is about to join Aberdeen.

Bookies are even not taking odds on which club he will play for after the transfer window.

Sounds the strongest rumour its a done deal

Kane and Ali were ranked number 1 and 2 by a firm in how much it would be to buy a player and that was before the crazy summer we have had.Kane was ?140m and Ali ?105m probably looking at ?200m and ?170m now its insane.

...a bit disco

Aberdeen further strengthening their 2nd best team in Scotland tag.

Be a while until we get near them again, sadly.

Bloody frustrating when you compare it to our activity.

Christ... they get May, Christie, Stewart, Tansey, GMS... we've got little attacking or midfield quality and 0 creativity.

All those players should equally be attracted to play for us. Where is it going tits up?!

Last player we signed who excited me in games was Muirhead once he got going.

Some on here seem to forget they have a very rich board and the new board member is splashing the cash

I think they've just swapped like for like.

Out:

McGinn - free

Hayes - ?1.3m

Jack - free

Pawlett - free

Taylor - free

Alexander - free

In:

GMS - ?200k

May - ?300k

Christie - loan (wages covered by Celtic)

Stewart - loan

Maynard - free

Arnason - free

Tansey - free

You telling me Berra and Lafferty don't earn a good wage? Nor Djoum? Nor Smith?

We could definitely afford Stewart on loan or the fee for GMS. I've seen it in a number of papers that we paid up to ?300k for Goncalves. So reckon we can afford GMS. And we sorely need a player like him.

I know it's a controversial opinion but frankly I'm glad they'll keep Rangers out of second for another year. The longer the OF stay split the better.

Would have been an amazing signing 3 seasons ago.

Injury prone and struggled to find form since then.

Could still work out to be a great signing but a four year deal is a gamble.

Liverpool will not sell Coutinho UNLESS he asks to leave.

He just signed a new long term deal less than a year ago

Reports Coming in that he has put a transfer request in.

Only hours after Klopp insisted he will not leave.

As much of gamble at giving Osh and injury prone Martin 3 year deals?  Or the fish?  It's no gamble at all.

What goes around comes around

Coutinho submits transfer request..........this after Liverpool had made a club statement he's not for sale

Southampton fans will be smiling as this scenario really does match the Van Dijk scenario

Craig Sibbald signs new one year deal with Falkirk

Just noticed that, surprised, obviously a reason why he can't get a move, doesn't measure up to the hype ?

Carvalho to West Ham is a great rumour. Really good defensive mid with a great attitude, thought he'd be in the Premiership years ago to be honest

He's not worth the development fee at this stage, that won't be required next year.

He's a class player, but I'm not so sure he'll cut it in the prem. Reckon he'd be suited to Seria A. Arsenal (& others) were linked a couple years back and there's obviously reasons they didn't pull the trigger.

Tugs turn quicker than him, I reckon he'd get exploited.

Looks like the Charlton fans can't see the back of him quick enough.

Disgusting 'performance',never want to see him ?n a Charlton shirt again after that. Looked totally disinterested, lazy and unfit. That 'through ball' to Ahearne Grant summed him up. Did anyone else see i think Kashi rowing with him after the final whistle?
