That could be the reason he's not signing. He was expecting a quill.

Will be surprised if Walker and Djoum are still here, also think Grzelak is meant to be rather cumbersome so doubt he'd be in at wing back, I'm thinking:

He'll bring attitude and a bit of bottle. Something that was sadly lacking last season.

Or he'll bring a bottle and a bit of attitude ?

tbh I think he will do alright if he did sign, but would not be bothered if he didn't... as I think we could do better for the wages we would be paying

Do you think we could many current International, goalscorers in major competitions, former serie A players for our budget?

Please tell me more.

Just back from the ticket office and there was still a lone cameraman hanging outside the entrance before you turn right to the ticket office. Assume Lafferty is in there and he's wanting to get a snap of him coming out for the papers.

Maybe they will send out a decoy. Remember Neilsons departure?

I did wonder why Billy Ray Cyrus was around.

Wasn't the decoy actually Neilson wearing a Neilson mask?

Why would we withdraw our offer if we have made one?

Nothing wrong with him weighing up his options.

Yes there is. We want players who want to play for us not players who just look for highest bidder. Agent tells Club what player is looking for, Club makes an offer. Expects very quick decision. If Lafferty goes on to talk to Aberdeen or Hibs then our offer is off the table. Source is friend of a friend of a DoF.

You're assuming players always go where the most money is.

There are a couple of upset sheep on an Aberdeen forum saying that Niall McGinn will sign for us imminently.

I think this strategy is flawed, to be honest. Sometimes players like to weigh up all of their options (not only the financial ones) and then make a decision. That wouldnt seem out of order to me.

Remember Tom Hart's "sign right now or never" ultimatum to John Robertson?

Fine, but he doesn't need to come here and stroll about on our pitch to make his mind up when every other option he has will be on his agents email fully detailed. FFS just pick one and go and have a walk on THEIR pitch.

He is here to sign.

Anything else makes no sense.

I tend to agree but it depends on whether that's actually the case or whether you think a player/agent is just using you to get more somewhere else. Levein will be able to tell pretty quickly if a player is genuinely interested in coming to us.

God is God is gone. I repeat God is God is gone. Package agreed.

Fantastic news but no need to talk about the man's personal bits. :oohmatron:

How to understand our cheerfulness. - The greatest recent event - that 'God is dead'; that the belief the Nigerian God has become a free agent - is already starting to cast its first shadow over Europe. To those few at least whose eyes - or the suspicion in whose eyes is strong and subtle enough for this spectacle, some kind of sun seems to have set; some old deep trust turned into doubt: to them, our world must appear more autumnal, more mistrustful, stranger, 'older'. But in the main one might say: for many people's power of comprehension, the event is itself far too great, distant, and out of the way even for its tidings to be thought of as having arrived yet.

Post Of The Year candidate right there.

Apparently the source is 'a few jambos at his work'

Niall McGinn is coming back from his holiday tomorrow so will probably see some movement on where he is going over weekend
