Had a pair of these when I was at high school. 100% confident I've got the name right!

You seem to know your 80's. Let's see a list!

Slight change:

Food that seemed to just 'appear' in the 80's.

Fondues

Corn on the cob

Chicken Kiev

Prawn cocktail

Tinned tuna

Mini frozen pizzas

Pubs that did fish and chips or chicken and chips 'in a basket'. Maybe that was late 70's?

Sweetcorn

Sure there's more!

Yes the bus to Prague

I remember it well and have to admit it was one of our party of 4 that was sick on bus

Seem to remember it getting a bit heated

Belated apologies as the smell still haunts me to this day

Quite how we were allowed to leave service station when half the shop was stolen by various travellers on the bus also still amazes me

That trip was a real eye opener for a teenager

I believe the not was from Penicuik.

Named Penispew throughout the rest of the journey.

My mum went through a stage of constantly buying chicken kievs. Not a fan of food oozing out goo.

Meeting Antonio Cabrini on an LRT bus after coming out the Commie. Had his autograph on my bus ticket until it eventually faded.

80's was an amazing decade for the football. Out complete dominance of hibs, beating Bayern, Dundee United 0-3 at Tannadice in April '86, Celtic 1-0 at Tynie in Feb '87, Dave McPherson scoring a screamer of a free kick on a Wednesday night at Tynie in '87( he remembered it very well when I met him at monty's), beating Rangers at Tynie in the SC '86, JC's late show against the Dons in '86, Robbo's scissor kick injury time goal against Rangers in '84, the big pie stand at the Wheatfiekd entrance, walking in at that end against hibs to hear their casuals chanting 'CCS CCS'. Could go on forever here...

Laura Brannigan - Self Control

George Michael & Aretha - Knew you Were Waiting

Alphaville - Big in Japan

Murray Head - One Night in Bangkok

Great tunes back in the day....... Just went hand in hand with going to the game......If only to be 21 again...

Video arcades with video games, not bloody gambling machines.

And 'fashion' wise.

51 States jeans

Ocean Pacific sweatshirts

Sonneti jackets

Puma Match trainers

Monkey Boots

Walking up Easter Road after a derby, looking ahead and behind and just seeing a sea of maroon. If we won, which we invariably did, that sight plus the signing was just incredible.

The big Evening News sign at the Gorgie Road end. Pink newspaper in the pub later on a Saturday evening.

The pink news.....Trying to find which shops stayed open to sell it..About 5.45ish

Bazzas right boot

I do mind BB's but never really started going there until it became Mercado.

I mind Zenatec used to advertise in the match programme in the 80's.

Bb was the old subway, now tropicana I think.

Mercado not on market Street?

I hit, Bb's a few times but must be a bit younger, was subway for most of my days.

Restless Natives. One of the best films ever made.

Now you're talking, Big Country were a big part of my 80s life.

Back to the trainers, after a few pairs of Kicks I got the Adidas Rom in white, then progressed to the Gazelle, first pair I got were kind of purple, cool as **** :)

Trying to mind the name of my first Adidas football boots, they were quality an aw.

It's no bad mate!

Not trying to bring it down but did anyone have any bother with the Hibs young team?

The ***** battered my mate and stole the clothes we'd bought earlier when we were walking along Prinny street.

Okay then - can anyone remember outside the Caledonian, after we'd just blown it in Dundee? Robbo waving out the window. Had a good night out in spite of everything.

John Fairgrieve talks about that in his book 'The boys in Maroon'. He was on the team bus when it pulled up outside the Caley to a sea of hearts fans. Said the players just lost it. Been greetin myself umpteen times reading that book actually.

Almost the same scenario one week later.

The cup final was lost in Dundee. Would have been won in Glasgow had we won in Dundee.

My memory is slightly hazy. Think it was after the cup final they went back to the Caley. Can't check either as I gave the book to somebody and didn't get it back.

Many memories for me but summed up for me was our trip to play PSG ,I think it was our 1st euro trip for about 4 or 5 years and went with the portobello bus , a scream from start to finish , like an earlier poster we too hadn't gone a mile when one of the bevvied guys spewed up , also I'm sure it was around 4-5 thousand jambos in Paris

I remember Walking into the stadium thinking the French had a similar song to us until I realised it was us singing

Bonjour,bonjour

We are the Georgie gar?on

In the stadium when the twirly started all the French photographers taking loads of pictures of it !! And the PSG. fans we met being really complimentary about our support

Great trip never to be forgotten
