Very impressed by my binman today, needed a few extra shakes to realise the leaves in my bin.

Job done.😀.

Just how long does it take to realise that leaves inside a bin are, indeed, leaves inside a bin?

🤷🏿‍♂️

They are compressed , so need a bit more bin shaking at the point of entering the bin motor.😀.

Anyway just got a wee bit left(leaves ) to transfer in to that bin, i refuse to pay for a garden waste bin.

So binman was very much on the ball, superb worker,

Got 2 new sofa's delivered on Tuesday, again 2 great workers, on the ball from DFS, even moved the old ones round the side as pick up wont be till January, still some grafters about.

It’s definitely improved. It was good seeing Sade. As a wee anecdote a mate of mine died 6 years ago and not long after I was watching a tv show of classic 80’s music videos and the video for Smooth Operator came on and bugger me, he’s in the video as one of the shady dudes in the nightclub, I’d known the guy 30 years and he’d never mentioned it. Turns out the director knew him through mutual friends and was looking for interesting people for the video and my mate was Armenian and tended to dress like someone from the past so got him in it. Cool looking dude in the shades in this screenshot.

Spent ages today wrestling with a new piece of software that’s pretty necessary for recording annual electrical testing. Had all the tests done and just had to transfer the results that should auto-generate the database and more. Couldn’t get the lump of shite to do what I wanted and thought at one point I’d have to redo all the tests as I’d missed something. Two days worth of them.
Cracked what the issue was ten minutes before knocking off work. Ridiculously obvious but the software uses such unintuitive language it eluded two of us.
Glad it works as it would have annoyed me all night and I would have obsessed over trying to get a solution.

Yep. Did all the tests, uploaded the files from the tester to the PC, then imported them into the software. You see all the files but it wouldn’t keep them when you closed it. Turns out once you put them in you had to click a button that said ‘create files’. But I’d already created the files you electronic arsehole!

Developers tend to write software that developers understand, not the end users.

Got ripped off by ma dealer, Findus Crispy Pancake and bottle of Dragon Soop for dinner, and then seeing ma wee team lose the lead with five minutes to go before getting gordoned on pens. Still, ma big team's got Hibs at home.

Phoned Virgin with a complaint about compensation for lost service months ago. Then somehow got all I asked for plus extra and got my 50% discounted deal extended by another 18 months with a cheaper price.

How much did you get the new deal for?

Trying to renew our Virgin deal, currently paying £93/month for full package, 1gb, sky sports, cinema, Netflix, 2 boxes, etc.

Cheapest I can get them down to is £124, for the same package, which I feel is a bit excessive.

I was paying £99 and they offered me the same 18 month contract for £96. Package the same as yours but only one box.

Cheers Tazio, I’ll try again, see if I can get it cheaper.
