Not sure, although I didn't once meet a Chinese woman who was adamant that Caucasians had completely different physiology and therefore shouldn't be admitted to a Chinese hospital because their doctors wouldn't know how to deal with them.

She sounds like she was maybe off her rocker.

Yeh, I've been sending birth Certificate's ect over to my brother in Johannesburgh so he can get a passport sorted.

Send 1st certificate in January, eventually got there in April, other documents I've sent have just disappeared.

He was on the phone today needing our parents Birth Certificates and Marriage Certificate

I did try sending some with Fed Ex, after a week they had still not picked them up from a shop in Edinburgh.

Ended up sending them with Parcelforce, that was about six weeks ago, still haven't arrived.

Yes, the ones in Egypt were built by Egyptians.  The ones in Mexico were built by Aztecs.  In both cases, they were built for religious reasons, either as a tomb for a god or as as a symbol of worship.

In Egypt, the HOW question cannot be answered with certainty because no records have ever been found, but the best guess is that massive ramps of sand were built and the stones were hauled up.  It is also widely accepted that the thousands of people who worked on the project were not slaves, as depicted in "The Ten Commandments", but were pious volunteers.

Yes I find anything to do with ancient Egypt fascinating . Watched numerous documentaries on it too . That’s true regarding those who worked on the pyramids . They were not slaves but valued , competent tradesman

Can't recall if this has been asked or not.

Why does the length of the planks matter in relation to their thickness?

Surely someone can be as thick as two planks regardless of their length?

I think they know they were built by Egyptian craftsmen, don't they? I'm not sure if its known how they got the massive blocks of stone into place though

Think this is how they were built 😉slavery-gets-shit-done--navy-at-garment.

Where did the word ‘digs’ come from when meaning either a room rented in a larger house - or the money paid for it (especially money paid to your folks if you’re still at home and have started working).

It is short for something?

Short for "diggings", which meant shared housing

2 things bothering me that I can't be arsed looking up an answer too.

How do the seagulls around Tynecastle and probably other places know that a match is about to end and the departing crowd will likely leave stuff to munch on? Has one of them got a watch?

Why do flies circle underneath our ceiling lights even when they're off?

I imagine its far more simple than that. Surely they just watch it on the telly and time their leaving the house to coincide with hitting Tynecastle on time.

Of course. Sometimes you can't see the obvious when it's staring you in the face. 👍

You weren’t sitting in Section P on Saturday were you? I mentioned the exact same thing to the guy next to me during the game.

What IS the difference between an Alligator and a Crocodile?

@I P Knightley 🙃

We're going back a long way but the two differences i remember are:

Crocs are fresh water creatures whilst alligators are salt water.

One of them (I'm saying crocodile) has protruding lower 'canine' teeth/fangs.

Think it might be the other way round? You definitely get salt water crocs in Austrailia and is part of the reason some beaches on the North are no go areas.

One also has a sharpish shaped about while the other is a flat snout

The shite is the product of gassy foods, fruits or fruit juice for example. The sugar in these produces gas which is mixed and trapped within the shite which you leave bobbing away merrily until such times as someone has to beat to death before it sallies off round the u bend.

I have a galaxy s21 phone and have never bothered with paying for stuff using my phone. If I wanted to set this up is there a preferred app to use? Also can I put on store cards like tesco club card or nectar card or Costco on these apps too so I limit the amount of cards I need to carry?? Is there one app that does all this or do I need multiple apps for this?? I'd also like to know what happens if you're buying something over £100 or when the contactless doesn't work and you need to insert your card and put in your pin number especially if you don't have your card with you??

Got the same phone and use Google Wallet. You can add bank cards, transport stuff, loyalty cards, and gift cards.

Quite surprised to suddenly be able to see the amount of dust on crumbs on my laminate floor. Wasn't as obvious without the light.
