Ridgers big chance. Time for another boy to become a man

Extremely confident he will take his chance. The boys got it.

We sacrifice nothing - every game is there to be won!

It's not feckin Lev Yashin that we'll be missing. Big chance for Ridgers.

Only following this on text updates, but they should have played the entire bench tonight to give them a game, including resting McDonald. Yes, a money spinner against HIbs or Celtic in the next round would help, but not if it costs us too many players and fewer league points. We are on a roll in the league already. If we could get a couple of points from the next two games, that would be far, far more important than round 2 (or whatever it is, I care not), of the league cup.

So we started the season with 3 experienced players and not even 5 games in and 2 of them could be long term injuries? We've been right lucky with injuries in recent seasons.

Of course they are BUT sometimes its wise to look at a bigger picture as opposed the small 1 in front of us at that time... Our Team is not A Usual Team and we cannot back them up, thats exactly why everything must be looked at deeply.

We can't afford to take our foot of the pedal in any game. ICT are not world beaters and there is no reason why we shouldn't be looking for a result there. You'll be suggesting we play a weakened team against Celtic next!!

Along with Hamill most experienced. No use getting negative about it, this is our challenge.

They're two of our more experienced players. Two of our best? Not so sure about that.

Heart of Midlothian ?@JamTarts1m

36. Gordon Smith is sent clean through on goal but Ridgers reacts the quickest and blocks, enabling his side to eventually clear to safety.

38. Anderson with a turn of pace to cut inside the box & his cross is knocked out for a corner which comes to nothing. 0-0

Why didn't we start with Ridgers...

Because Gary Locke's crystal ball is on the fritz.

Daft statement.

Stevo would be first name on my team sheet. How old is Ridgers? Takes our average age to about 19 now ffs.

My guess is because MacDonald has had some terrific games recently and has given our young defence a lot of confidence - keepers don't need rested the same way as outfield players - the more match practice the better

Just rotten luck that he got injured in a freak way
